A piece for Reborn 55 steering

Just a little information on a neat piece that may fit in the middle of your project. My '80 CJ7 has factory power steering  and it looks like a GM style column. It comes off the bottom of the column with what looks to be that 1" splined shaft and goes into a factory style "U" joint (folded steel ,not cast or forged) and into a DD outer shaft. There it goes into the DD inner shaft that is the male end of a turnion like you have and the female of the trunion fits on the power steering box. The DD has got some length to it but is made so that it shold be quite free to lengthen/shorten. Might be a factory piece that would work between the two pieces you already have. GPster

Thanks for the info--I have a friend that has a Jeep--not sure what year, but will give it a look.
