Does anyone know if its suppsoed to have a ballast resistor in line to the coil and brain box, when I change over I use the factory resistance wire to power it but I put a duraspark in my 55 Ford and since it was originally 6 volt there is no resistance wire.  I never had any problems since I installed it except for a bad module but thats been a few years ago,I am thinking on heading to Daytona in it and dont want any problems.

No resistor with a Duraspark.
