George,
This year the Anti-freeze, turned dark for some reason,
and I couldn't see any victims until I dumped the solution
out on my burial mound...As you can see there are 15 victims
here, and we caught 3 in a trash can, that must have raised
quite a rowe until the last mouse standing, was no more.

Along with the 19 we caught last year (2008/2009) there must
be quite a few mice in the woods.  They must outnumber the Chipmunks...

one thing...  you have to dispose of them properly...

anything that eats them will also die..

cats...  wild life.. including birds of prey..

only takes a single bite...

people have also drilled with a post hole digger a fairly deep hole... put a size restricted opening to keep cats out..  and a sample bag of last nights pizza.. or burritos.. in it..

one friend has a buddy who works at an ice plant..  brings his buddy chunks of dry ice to throw down the hole every few days.. CO2 does them in..  then the hole is filled .. and the tube inserted in a new one..

Mine is still working also.  I saw two in the tool shed the other day.  I'm not catching a lot of them, probably because our two cats are out most of the day.  I use heavily salted water so it doesn't freeze in the winter.  Seems to work as well as antifreeze, but would seem safer for my cats, as I  don't think they would drink salt water.
I survived the Hyfrecator 2000.
