i'm converting my 48 from 6 volt pos to 12 volt neg and have a few questions.

i'm using a one wire alternator for simplicity's sake.

i know the one wire gets wired directly to the battery.

from the pics below, can i use the yellow with black weave wire and connect it to the solid yellow wire to get that connection?

am i correct in the the arm wire (yellow w black weave) goes directly to the voltage regulator? i want to use the arm wire instead of the field wire because it is thicker and matches the battery wire in size.

i did something similar years ago on my 53 chevy but i want to make sure my memory is accurate

thanks in advance

fairly simple to hook up the 3 wire internal regulated  alt  so the charging begins when the engine is fired up.

1 extra wire foir an indicator light  bulb ( non - LED)  inside the car , hooked to the ignition source
