I hate the plastic knobs on both my engine oil dipstick and the trans dipstick so I got some old new stock guitar knobs from when we made guitars and wrenched off the volume and tone bits and made up a new set of knobs will smash off the plastic ones and jb weld the sticks into these

I have one Vol for the Oil and a Tone for the trans
Just because it\'s written down doesn\'t make it true

Adds a nice touch and just think of all the hours you saved fabbing and machining you know you would have spent making one offs.
Are you deleting the labels? Vol works fine for eng. dipstick, I think.

I have used drawer pulls in the past to do the same thing. The nut holding the air cleaner on my Buick is a retapped radio knob.
Welcome to hell. Here's your accordion.

Man, with all the hand crafted parts you've got on that car, it probably qualifies as 100% hand built.

Great work as usual 8)

I once used a handle from a gestetner spirit duplicator for the shifter handle in my front engine dragster. In my anglia I am using the rubber grommets from semi marker lights to seal the forward bars of my rollcage to the firewall.
