Richard from Ormand and meself are takin' the Silverbird out of Tampa next Thursday for the long weekend for the 4th year in a row. Maybe when I retire I'll have the time to drive the roadster out, that is, if I hit the Lotto to cover the gas at 8mpg.

With Father's Day approaching the anticipation of the LA Roadster Show is increasing . I missed the shop tour last year by RRT members although we crossed paths at Justice Brothers. Are there any planed this year for a similar run?

White is usually throughout the tire. I have used cheap flat black rattle cans many times to blacken them and it is virtually undetectable on the inside of fendered cars. I have not had to use it in a FTF situation.

The vintage racers are having a tough time of late with overly aggressive inexperienced guys with more money than ability racing a wee bit  over their heads. Vintage racing supposed to be about the vintage cars not winning races.

Missed the Royal and seeing the King trump the field but I will be at the Eldora Mopar wingless show after spending Thurs., Fri and Sat AM at Louisville NSRA. From Eldora its on to Oskie and the Knoxville Nats. Several prior trips to Louisville Nats, many times to Knoxville. I'll have beer and will share!

The tour information was super and really made the trip this year complete. I believe that we ran into several RRT members at the Justice Bros. Museum but there was a film on the TV that everyone seemed to be watching pretty intently and I didn't want to disturb anyone. I'm guessing that they were RRT people 'cause they were old farts and one had an RRT across the back of his T shirt. My pictures at MarCels didn't come out so it was great to find this on the forum. Maybe I'll run into y'all at Louisville in August. Thanks to all. John

In Florida you need to have the VIN # on the title "permanetly" attatched to the vehicle in two places, the body and on the frame. A cop can verify and sign the paperwork. I had my son who is a sherrif sign off my paperwork and had no problem with registering my roadster with the out of state original title. I did this just over a year ago. I made and pop rivited two stainless steel plates with the VIN number to the firewall and the frame.

Bucketmouth, you could make it the Nats (Louisville) and then the Nats (Knoxville, Ia) the following weekend and watch some of the Aussies sprint car racers try and put a whoopin' on us Yanks. Several "Down Under racers and many fans there. First beer is on me. Goodfoot
