no, of course there will be a fan, with a shroud and it will be the biggest that i can stuff under the bed. the scoop idea is only for road speed help. tucked that high up in a pocket seems to me that at hwy speeds the air would be a little stagnet. but, this is why im asking :D

i had to remove the condenser  from the front of the rad. on the stude, it is so dense that it will not let the fan cool the rad. and it causing some major overheating. so i need to remote the condenser under the truck. vintage has a good looking piece that i am thinking of buying, but i would like some feed back from some of you who have experience with remotes. personaly i have never had any luck with them. but then again, i was being told how to do it.any one have any tips or tricks? would building a scoop, like a small version of  a p-51 mustang be over kill? i  think that tucked up alone  under the bed would be like putting it in a  vacuum zone. any thoughts?

Quote from: "WZ JUNK"I have had good luck with various brands.  I recommend you buy a speedometer that is programable with a push button to correct for your gearing and tire size.  Some brands require you to do some calculations and then flip some switches on the instrument to calibrate the unit.  That method works fine but sometimes it is a problem get back under the dash to do it.

i do agee.

i use a lot of autometer, and i've never had any problem with them. i have also used a lot of vdo and as well, no problems. as for classic looks, they both rank high at the top with me.  but just for plain cool-- i dont know the maker, but the face is roulete {sp.?} wheel face gauges.

Rodder's Roundtable / power rack question.
April 26, 2005, 08:36:38 AM
im installing a ford family 89 to 97 power rack in a 46 stude pu, the rack was purchased by whoever started the project, and the owner wants to use it. the problem is i cant find a pressure hose or a return fitting to fit. both male ends have what appear to be flat flares and a flat white nylon washers. does anyone have any ideas about what kind of hose and fittings i need? the local parts guys are no help whatso ever. i can take a pic today and post tonight. thanks, 40oz.

hey all, my names whit, im 39, i live in north west alabama, i own a small hot rod- street rod- restoration shop on hwy 72. im married, with two kids, and a big yellow dog.  im doing this intro because where im from if you dont give an intro you would be verbably beaten into submission by our newby filter, GERM.  im from the HAMB, ive been a member for about 3 years, and ive built several hamb style cars, but the biggest portion of my bizz comes from street rodders and resto guys. i do alot of custom work on alot of different cars. in the shop now ive got a 46 stude pu, a 50 stude champion bizz coupe, a 55 1st series pu, a 48 ford sedan, and a t bucket- hamb style. im looking forward to learning alot from this board and even sharing what i know. its about to storm and this machine does not like lightning. later  40oz.
