Rodder's Roundtable / wiper motor for a Model A??

Quote from: "chimp koose"Dustyrustee,I didn't realise you were building an Anglia . What year is yours,I am building a 49. My wiper motor came from an 81 ford courier truck. I use it to drive the stock Anglia wiper assembly in place of the old vacuum setup. the drive motor is tucked under the cowl on the drivers side.

actually chimp, it is already built....but I have it torn down right now and am going to make new chassis and front suspension....when I get the energy happening...It is a 1958 Thames 1/4 ton van...pro-street gasser...have tried to attach couple pics...hope they come through..ps:am in Edmonton.

Rodder's Roundtable / wiper motor for a Model A??

Quote from: "Canuck"I have been planning on using a Lucas set up out of a Austin.  Gear transmissions for each wiper driven by a cogged cable running in a steel tube back to the motor.  Should work good with the motor located in the headliner and possibly in the trunk if I can figure out how to hook two cables together.

Same design as the Specialty Power Window set up.

Running the Astro unit, how would you drive the passenger side wiper?

Would be nice to phase out the Prince of Darkness!

Canuck

the lucas unit you speak of.....is it from an austin mini???

am looking for a similar type of unit for my Anglia...just not sure what cars used them??

any help with telling me which cars and years used these things appreciated...thanks
