I really enjoy mine. Nothing better than that open ride with a Hemi and a 4spd

That 32 Ford truck was a deal at $1200 unless the back was gone. I sold a 33 cab only for $3K in late May

Quote from: "WZ JUNK"I ran 2 gallons of brake fluid through the old chevy today.  I pressure bled the system and it took two gallons to get every bubble out.  I am still not happy with the brakes but I have done all I can.

I have never worked so much, with so little success.

It has stock Mustang ll front brakes.  I plan to update to bigger rotors and calipers this winter but I want to drive it to Colorado next weekend and I need good brakes.   The pedal feels good and you can stop the car but not as quickly as I would like.  You can not lock up the brakes on asphalt, no matter how hard you push.  I know the chevy is heavier than a Mustang or Pinto but shouldn't I be able to lock up the brakes.

I need some advise.

John

John is this something new or has it been a persistent problem? Not stopping well reminds me of the problem I had with the cpe when I went to an aftermarket booster. After having 2 boosters act the same way I used a junkyard Astro Van booster and have been happy ever since, 75K mi later

I'll just wear a ball cap when driving. It's now on my trailer. Just under 48 hrs from when I left home I was there driving it. I didn't let any grass grow under the wheels of the truck. The car was in far N.W. Mt about 15-20 mi. from the Idaho border. So I'm at my sons in Kalispell right now

Joe is right about the E-brake on a disc brake set-up. At times I wish I hadn't changed over from drum to disc on the rear

You were missed George. Hope the leg problem isn't serious.

It was nice to see you and Brenda again. As you said John it was a short while. Glad to see Georges truck with a good caretaker. It certainly was a shock when you showed me the picture of your reason for coming to Mi.

They do get snow up there. I have a grandson who goes to college in Houghton.
Glad to hear you enjoyed our state again. I've never to Isle Royale but my wife has. She and a couple of girl friends spent a few days there and she really loved it.
