We are building a 1942 GMC with leaf springs should rear shocks be  installed  straight up  and down  and should should they be angled forward or back for best travel

Hi have a problem I am running dis /drums  the bakes will come on but all pressure does not relaese eventuall brakes will stay on, I f I adjust  master cylinder push rod I loose baking ability and pedal gets soft ,What can I do ,I am using a stoke bra ke modulator It is in a 1942 GMC  173 blazer front 1979 rear ,1998 Dodge 2500 master .Thanks Rick
