Thanks to all for the help. Now I have another question, I have a chance to buy a pretty nice set of 36 sedan fenders. Will they work for my coupe project or is there a difference?

There is a definate difference. Coupe fenders are wider and have different mounting holes and brackets than sedan, Pictures below are a coupe fender on the left and a sedan fender on the right, both 36 ford fenders.

Thanks......you saved me from buying fenders that would have been wall hangers. Do you know where I can find the coupe type rears?

Rodder's Roundtable / 36 ford coupe chop
March 14, 2005, 02:23:54 PM
Hi all. I am a newbie here. I have just aquired a basket case 36 ford 3 window coupe and would like to chop it about 2-3 inches. I have some welding skills but don't know where to cut. Could anyone here help me with info or point me in the right direction?
Thanks
Robert
