not a canadian one is it pep? like with the flatheads they went to 54. or dodge poly motors went to 66 instead of 65?
pretty easy to tell a Y block from an FE. power alone would be enough!

I had met Ian once or twice, doubt he knew who I was but he seemed like a hell of a guy. Seems the passion never let up in him and he will be a missed face at many rod event. Condolenscense to family and friends.

thanks for the pics carps, looks like a good day. pitty there are still to many things on at once...

I dont think you can beat the original.

small block mopar I would say looking at the intake and the valve covers. the Y blocks have two bolts to hold the valve covers thru the valve covers not on the sides and they have the water out let at the front of the intake at right angles to the radiator like a windsor.
plus Y blocks are too good an engine to do that to, you would only use something like a chubby for a letterbox
