Rodder's Roundtable / House of Kolor
June 29, 2005, 02:25:40 AM
Hey Pep,
I have house of Kolor paint on my car, we never used their fillers ect in fact my coupe has Spies Hecker clear on it and mine turned out fine.
Be aware that It has a thin coverage so you will generally use more.
But they have some incredible colours definetly worth the extra $$.

Cheers,

Mark.

My opinion,Because your interior is traditional Paint the column and dash body colour, if your guages have chrome rings ect it will look sweet.
At the end of the day as long as your happy thats the main thing.
:D

Still looking good!

Rodder's Roundtable / The 37 assembled..well sort of

QuoteYeah...its was always going to be black, and still is right now....I will start block sanding the guide coat off next week end and I'll give my final assessment then. I haven't swayed too far from my initial plans. The only deviation is now its going to run on LPG, but later on when they get the injection set up for LPG, then it will be injected LPG.

Nice! Black looks so good on a straight car, it will test your panel skills though.  :D  :D
LPG sounds good especially the price of petrol at the moment , I think if i was building again I would consider LPG also.
Looking good though.

QuoteSpray it with WD40
Yeah i'll second that, works a treat.
I usually spray a bit on beforehand if im machining Aluminium on the Mill or Lathe cause it can be a real bugger to get off once its fused on.

Rodder's Roundtable / Transmission Cooler Question??
March 11, 2005, 12:57:00 AM
QuoteCre8tor:
You haven't been to my place and photographed my trans cooler have you?
It's exactly what I am using, well it looks exactly, in My Essex.
Mine is a Commodore accessory unit with an aftermarket fan mounted on it.
On the Essex it fits between the outer frame rail and the "X" member.
I am using it for a C4/302 Cleveland combination. I hope it's big enough.

I would say your combo would do the trick just fine.

Rodder's Roundtable / Transmission Cooler Question??
March 10, 2005, 06:21:05 PM
I haven't had any experience with the narrow coolers that you have mentioned but when I was building my coupe I put a cooler with its own thermo between the rails and it works a treat.
Similar to this one -
