I'd say check around, not only speciallty insurance.  I had full coverage on my 56 for awhile using regular insurance.  I also didn't have any misshaps.

High rev motor small package and weighs alot.  You would be better off with a SBC if you can squeaze it in there, as they make it into a few of the older RX-7s and they are alot faster.

That 55 is on your big island  runs a royals royce merlin V-12 from a P-51 Mustang.  I'd love to hear that car fire up, let alone go for a ride

Interesting.  We call them skirts or fender skirts here. Which I plan on putting on either way.
