Rodder's Roundtable / Long term project
April 07, 2005, 10:04:40 AM
I have had my 27 T tub for 25 years. It was a project that never seemed to get finished. Built lots of cars in between. Finished it last July for my daughter's wedding. Great feeling finally finishing it. I had no thought of ever selling it. Still wouldn't sell it. I have wanted one since I was 13 after I saw the red one in the Beach Party movie. Took 24 years to finish but from what I see here it was a short term project. LOL. Fordnutz.

The chev wiper motor bolts on in the ford location and works like a ford one. It is cable operated like the ford. Pat

Rodder's Roundtable / New guy again.
April 06, 2005, 11:20:49 AM
I just noticed that on the post I did on the wipers it was my first. I guess I joined ages ago and just lurked.  An intro is in order. I am a 55 year old car junkie. Been playing with cars and bodywork since I was 13. My cars don't look too bad so all the practice must have helped. I have a 27 T tub on the road and a chopped 28 2-door and 46 ford coupe I am building. I sell project cars and parts in the wilds of Saskatchewan, Canada. Mostly 57 and older. My buddy has a farm with 600-700 cars on it and I am helping him clear out some parts as he is 76 now and has to downsize. Check out my website for pics of the farm and some stuff that I have. http://groups.msn.com/goldenoldiesvintagetin

Rodder's Roundtable / Re: '57 Ford wiper motor

Quote from: "ragdol"What options are there for the vacuum wiper motor other than a $300 kit. Really want to ditch the vacuum unit. TIA, Larry.

Find a 55-6-7 chevy one. They are a bolt on. Same mountng as ford. When I had 567 chevs I used to sell them to ford guys all the time because the chevy guys wouldn't pay more than $25 and the ford guys were so happy to get them they would offer $100 just to have one. Usually can find one used under $100. Fordnutz
