Rodder's Roundtable / 46 ford hub cap adapters
December 27, 2009, 07:45:35 AM
Hi Guy`s Ive purchased some aftermarket steel wheels for my 35 Ford pk up. I am using 46 Ford hub caps but they will not fit. Could anyone tell me were I can purchased the weld on adapters. I have used these before but cant find the address were I purchased them from. The knubs are on the inside of the wheel & measure 10&1/8". You take the ring off the hub cap & spot weld the new ring on & then the caps fit OK. Thanks for reading I hope someone can help......Cheer`s Bri

Rodder's Roundtable / Gas Price
September 01, 2005, 05:22:04 PM
Hey Guy`s you should be a Rodder in England, the price of gas is £4.50.. gall =$7.00 & we still build them with the good old American V8. Ive built 4 classic Hot Rods over the past 45yrs & when I start building I think I will build for economy I soon change my mind. You can`t beat the raw power of a V8 & there`s nothing that sounds so good I just love em Cheers ................Bri

Rodder's Roundtable / 12v to 6v
August 28, 2005, 07:05:36 PM
Hi Dave My Ford pk up is the same as the one on the front cover of "Mack Hil`s" book on Ford pk up`s 1932-1952. The horn is short & has a round cap at the rear, its mounted under the headlight bar, I note the repro one`s different at the rear, Ive looked at the electo magnetic motor & can`t see how it would make the Ah oo Gha sound. I recon its just a BEEB any way it looks like you where right regarding using the 9v resistor Ill try 2 in series on Monday.Thanks................ Brian

I tried the 9v ign resistor, & it sounds loads better but Im still not getting the ooogha sound., its more like a deep BIB! it is an original 33 Ford pk up horn,, perhaps Henry Ford only fitted ooogha horns on passenger model`s , any feedback please................Bri

Pep I tried the horn on `12v it sounded nothing like an ooogha so I wired a 10 Watt resistor in series & didn`t get a peep out of it, if I use a 24 watt resistor what ohms value should it be........Bri

Rodder's Roundtable / Bowtie Overdrives Question
June 17, 2005, 05:03:32 AM
Thanks everyone for there input on this thread, Ive finally got the idea how it all works. I do now understand what you mean Crosley about the TV cable needing tension on it full time & thanks for those enlarged pictures. The slotted arm to the rear carb carb was confusing me as my progresive linkage is on the other side of the carbs & I thought that slotted arm was something to do with the TV Cable, Im no longer puzzled on this problem. I wanted to make sure I get the correct adjustment on the gearbox & tricarbs & now feel OK to start. Cheers Everyone Santa Fe Bri :b-d:
