Getting to work on this 55 again, just picked up a rebuilt distributor from NAPA, and put in a Pertronix set up in it, will install it soon. Then have to start wiring this thing up. Not easy to do alone, but us old guys seem to, get her done, in the end! Will let you all know when I get it started.

Also was told if you run halogen headlights you need a relay of some kind? Thanks :?

This is for Enjenjo, I am using a Mustang Master cylinder, without the booster for now. Did you do you own work on you truck? How does it stop? I was in the Air Force too, 65 to 68 Kirtland AFB,NM, then Phu Cat AFB Vietnam.

A few months back picked up a 55 F100, with a 428 CJ in it and a C6, just completed the king pin rebuild, am working on putting in a duel master cylinder. This truck hasn't run for quite awhile, have to change the wiring before I try and start it. I am retired from the Phone co and am a Vietnam Vet, so I guess I am an old guy!!

Rodder's Roundtable / T-5 to a Ford 300 I6
June 28, 2005, 03:16:15 PM
Was told you can bolt on a T-5 to a Ford 300, it's from a F100, and has a 3 speed. If this is so, what clutch do you use, and can you use a T-5 from an S10. Thanks
