Rodder's Roundtable / Cooling fans

Interesting thread. Question. How do you tell how many cfm you need for a given engine displacement? I've got a 351 Windsor engine in my 51 Victoria. What size electric fan do I need?

Rodder's Roundtable / Restoring steering wheel

I agree. Ace Hardware is the place to buy PC-7. For a good description on how to do the job, pick up a copy of "Steering Wheel Restoration Handbook" by Jack Turpin. It covers all aspects of the operation.

Rodder's Roundtable / brake fluid in a tranny

Yeah, I've done it. And it works, too.  The  way I was told (back in the 60's) is that you put 4 ounces, and 4 ounces only, of brake fluid into the tranny. If this doesn't stop the leak, the seals are too far gone to seal by this method and will need replaced, or you can live with the leak.

Rodder's Roundtable / 351 windsor engine swap
October 02, 2004, 10:57:43 AM
I am installing a 1977 351 Windsor engine into a 1951 Victoria. I have some questions on the electrical wiring. site. The engine I am using has a stock Ford Duraspark II distributor and Ignition module which I want to use. My problem is that I don't know how to wire it in. The distributor has a connector going to the module and the module has another connector going to somewhere in the electrical system. Do I need to use the module or just the distributor? Where do the wires go? If anyone has used this distributor in a swap I'd appreciate some help in hooking it up. Thanks for any info.
