How 'bout this one ????    Just got it on the road but I think I did something wrong (?)........

It may sound stupid but, BLACK will give off more heat than any other color, including the raw aluminum radiator.   I have had mine painted with Krylon Black ever since I got it on the road and it works just fine.   In the old days they used to paint radiators in building silver, if they had painted them black it would have saved them money in their heating bills....

Rodder's Roundtable / Fan belt squealing
April 27, 2008, 11:36:53 AM
For a quick fix, I used SOAP !!!    With the engine running, put the bar of soap on the face of the belt in question.    Allow a small amount of the soap to rub onto the belt.   I have used this in the past for a quick fix to the noise of the belts.    Sometimes it will last for a long time and sometimes not.    The true fix is to get the proper size (width) belt.   Try it, it may work for you.

Check out the above linc......I feel very strongly that this is the answer.   But I also feel that we (everybody) will have to build their own.....unless the big companies can find a way to make us pay more for our water.   I have seen two versions, one with salt water and this one with plain water.  What da ya think....?

Run the magnetized tools past an A/C coil (onel that is plugged in).   The A/C current thru the coil will de-magnetize the metal.........

Yes, the LAW....    Did you know, 100 years ago there were NO TAXES....
....but it is the LAW now.     I wonder what it will be like in the future with all of the LAW makers making new laws........

Rodder's Roundtable / Helmet Law ?
February 26, 2008, 11:36:49 AM
It seems as though we all agree you should wear your seat belts in the car and your helmet when on a motorcycle..........   The point I was trying to make is my objection to a LAW that MAKES me wear the belts or the helmet.    If it takes a law to make me safe than we need a law that will give you a ticket if you walk around with a shoe lace untied (?), you could trip on it and injure yourself....maybe you need $10,000 of insurance to cover your possible injury (?).    ....or a law to prevent McDonalds from serving coffee that is hot enough to burn you if spilled (?)    ...or a law to prevent bad guys from having guns (that could take a whole new post to handle).   Due to laws, I will not be able to pass from the USA into another country like Canada, without a passport......     It makes me wonder why I need 535 people to pass laws to protect me from myself.

Funnyl you guys are talking about lathe's....    I have been looking for a deal (cheap) on a use-able metal lathe.    One of you folks would not happen to know of one somewhere.......useable anc cheap (?).    If it is not in too bad of shape I may be able to fixit up a bit.   Not looking for junk but something I can set up and use.   If you know of anything let me know and I will follow up.

Rodder's Roundtable / Helmet Law ?
February 18, 2008, 10:03:02 PM
I believe it is GREAT that all cars have seat belts and air bags.   A very great safety item indeed.    I resent that there is a law that says I will get a ticket and a fine for NOT electing to wear this seat belt !!!!   More and more with the pretence of safety and security the government is taking away more of my (our) freedoms  :( .........that is what I object to.    I wear my helmet when I ride most all of the time.  (and I wear my seat belt in my car also).........

Rodder's Roundtable / Helmet Law ?
February 18, 2008, 07:43:41 PM
I agree with "purplepickup" I resent the government passing laws that restrict my freedom.   They have no business taking away personal freedom.   If you check the statistics, of all the people killed in automobile accidents most of them died from head injuries.......now our government would not pass a law to make people riding in cars wear helmets because their wives would be upset with them ruining their hair due...................what da ya think ???

It should be the individuals choice on wearing or not wearing a helmet.   99 percent of the time I have mine on but not because of any laws......it is my choice.
