Rodder's Roundtable / Tail light fitting on a 37 Chev
August 27, 2010, 02:01:35 AM
Hi guys, I just took delivery on a pair of 37 Chev taillights like this

Trouble is in australia we only had one tail light mounted in the center of the boot lid so I have know reference for fitting these.

Could some one give me some measurments say say from the fold in the 1/4 where the boot starts to the forward face on the stalk and form the fold on the beaver up to the stalk so I get them looking sort of normal (or any other pint you think will make it easyier

Thanks

I have a son & a daughter, My son loves cars and runs but isnt fussed on the building side of things (but he does show an interest when I come in from the shed) my Daughter on the other hand loves the build she is out in the shed with me any chance she gets, more than one time I have had to carry her from the door to the bathroom at the end of the day becasue shes that covered in crap she would leave a trail of greasy hand prints and "stuff" all the way through the house, shes only 7 but I hope working in the shed on the chev with her dad never becomes too uncool for her.

Quote from: "Crosley"
Quote from: "tomslik"you still gonna run that 1 bbl carb those had?

I will machine up an adapter for a 2 barrel carb.   I am not sure what I will do for a different head for the engine on down the road.

An aluminum head is 2k $$ , that is out of my budget.  For that money , I'd stuff a small block in the car  and go lots faster.

8)

what about the cross flow head we run in Austraila will they bolt on they have removable inlet manifolds and all manner of carb and efi options are available for them

or even a 2v head for your log motor they are rare over here (I dont know about over there??? but man they haul * and well under 2k AUD and the way our $$$ is headign ATM even if you need to grab one form here it wont be that steap

Rodder's Roundtable / 1941 Chevy Coupe - Questions
September 05, 2008, 03:52:17 PM
oo oo I can answer this

the chassis number is located on the out side LH rail about 18" back form the front axel line (pretty much just below the front of the cowl) it always gets covered in crap

Gday this is my 4th post, I've been a member for some time but don't post much here.

I'm currently building my first rod, I've done plenty of old fairlanes falcons and holdens but this is the first time I've built a full chassis car.

It's a pretty simple build,

Jag IFS
Jag IRS (Still caged)
Holden 308
Traumatic Auto

I've posted all this on Ozrodders and 98% of the chassis Idea I stole off 32 Coupe and one of his projects so I cant take any credit but here are a few photos

As she got off the tilt tray

body dummy fitted

last weekend

cant see much for nearly 12 months meh! what you gonna do, the family comes first, I hope to finish off the chassis and drop the body back on in the next few weeks then the real fun starts
