Rodder's Roundtable / Security for your hot rod

Or...have the same type of pin/bolt but instead of through the rotor just push the brake pedal down and install the pin to keep it locked on.....maybe...perhaps...  or a removable pin that locks the 2 halves of the steering shaft together...when you remove the pin the steering wheel just spins around and doesnt turn the wheels.

Rodder's Roundtable / The end

Frank & Frank...sorry also for not posting here as much as I probably should. I understand your reasoning for wanting to shut down the site but if it hadnt been for RRT I would never have met you guys and gals.

To think that back in 2004 me, Choco, Reddo and our wives were invited to a RRT BBQ at the Kentucky Nationals by you guys and all we had to do was fly for 15 hours from Australia to LA, drive another 4 1/2 hours to Las Vegas then jump on another jet for 6-7 hours to Orlando, drive for a few more days to Louisville then simply walk down the road behind the trader pavillion and, bugga me, there you were  ....right where you said you'd be. 8)
How could we have ever done it without RRT?
You guys have done more for international car enthusiast relations than any rodding magazine.
Please reconsider, or at least pass it on, so we (Aussie Rodders) can meet up with US rodders and feel welcome when we get there...and vice versa.
We may live worlds apart, and you guys tock furney, but we are all rodders......... and please dont let Andrew and his mate put you off

Has anyone installed a VPA shaved door handle kit. My pick up has this brand fitted to it and it doesnt work anymore. I tried a new battery in the remote, checked the fuses and tried to reprogram the brain box but still it wont work. I rang their tech line and they basically told me to do what I've already done.
Anyone know any tricks for these units?

April 29, 2007, 08:34:16 PM
I"ll be in the US on the 19th May and I'm looking to buy a rod while I'm there. I'm after a '28 to '36 Tudor or Delivery running a SBC/T350 and Jag or 9" with a dropped I beam or independant front. I'm not looking for a project car, I need something thats finished and on the road.
Do you guys and gals know of anything in the USD$20K - USD$30K range?
We are driving from LA to Vegas then to Memphis, Kansas, Denver, San Francisco and back to LA and leaving on the 14th June. Anything in that area would be good.
Thanks in advance for any leads.

Rodder's Roundtable / Whats on in the USA?
February 03, 2007, 08:59:57 PM
Six of us will be landing in LA on the 19th May. We hired a van and are driving to Las Vegas then to Memphis for a few days. After that we a heading up to St Louis then west to Topeka (catching the Powerade Series June 1st) and on to Denver, Salt Lake City, Reno and San Fran. We leave LA on the 14th June.
Just wondering what cruise nights, small weekend runs, swapmeets etc are on around then or is there web site I should know about.

Just so you know who I am......

I'm 45 and recently celebrated 25 years of marriage.
I drive a A Model Tourer and also own a 67 pillarless Impala (4door). I've also got an EK Holden...but goobers wouldn't know what one of them is....I'll post some pics later. (It's sorts like an Australian built 57 Chev...kinda). I own a parts and equipment store selling earthmoving machinery and spare parts for just about anything. I started there in 1978 sweeping floors and bought the business nearly 4 years ago.

It's just like magic.......thanks Fat Cat for the time and effort you have put in on our (HRI) behalf. I, for one, am extremely grateful.
