Thank you for the link.

GPster, anything in particular you would like a picture of?

There are 25 wires for the drivers seat which is out on the bench. The passengers seat is in the truck at the shop. So I guess I will tackle this again next weekend.

Hey there gang,
Been quiet for a while I know.
I need help with a pair of seats I'm installing in my tow rig. Pulled seats out of a late model Buick Lucerne. We tested them before pulling them and they worked fine. got them home and ready to install, ran jumper wires for power, and the passengers side works like a champ, but the Drivers side is dead. I'm hoping someone here as found a solution and can help. They are six way seats with front tilt, back tilt, fwd/rev, and the four way lumbar button.(?)

Options I can imagine are:

Bypass the black box under the seat and wire the motors straight through the switches

Replace drivers side black box with same model passengers black box

Somebody here knows a wiring hack to make the existing controller work

Any help or ideas are greatly appreciated. :?:

Quote from: "MrMopar64"Seems like Custom Rodder did an article on casting lenses.....I'll see if I can find it..

MM64  8)

That's what I was thinking.
Can't seem to find it.
Many thanks.

Not the one that used textured plastic sheet for the prism but the one where they actually cast a lens with the prism as part of the casting.

Anyone else remember seeing that article?
Sometime in the last year.

I just don't have the time I used to.
That is going to be changing so, maybe now I can chime in a little more often.

Both good sources.  Thanks!
Googled for Dolphin gages but came up empty.

Quote from: "Stevie G"Any good sites for gages to use when putting a 2004 drivetrain in an older truck?  It's actually going to be a frame swap.
Doesn't one company alter old gages to run the newer electronics?
I just want to have everything as compatible as possible.

Clarification.
Can I run the electronic to mechanical speedo box and be okay as long as I have the speed/distance input for the computer?

Q2: what parts should I keep from the donor to make the swap easier.

Quote from: "Crosley"what transmission?

Seems like an adapter / spacer is needed for the crank hub on the earlier torque converters

Complete engine and tranny from a 2000 pick up.
I told him to get the pump from the 2000's tank since I'm sure it uses higher pressure for the injectors.
He has the stock gauge panel for the 88.  Will it work with the '00's ECM?
Looks like I'm headed to the EFI forum.

Late model swap from a 1988 350 to a 2000 5.3L
Any tips, tricks, things to avoid or look out for?
The guy is picking up the computer and wiring harness...anything else he needs?

I need to drop by here more often.
Might make remembering the password easier. :D

Quote from: "Stevie G"Looking at a Centrifugal supercharger and contemplating combining it with EFI.

Well, thanks.  It'll be dry.
This is an old VS57 going on a 322 Nailhead.
It'll only be running 4-5 pounds of boost.

Looking at a Centrfugal supercharger and contemplating combining it with EFI.  How do you determine what size injectors to use?

Rodder's Roundtable / Mine's a buick but.....

I put 39 Buick spindles on my 30 Buick axle.  The Kingpin boss on the Thirty is slightly taller than the 39 so you either have to machine down the boss on the axle or the ears on the spindle.
Just thought I would throw that out there for you.
