Yes you need the LED flasher, but to get proper ground to the cruise, you need a relay from brake switch to cruise.
Hot side of brake switch to relay and ground to cruise ground, to give the cruise a good ground.

I have all led lights and my cruise would not work.  After talking to Dakota and Rostra the LED's won't produce enough ground at the brake light switch.
The fix is to install a relay from brake switch to the cruise control for ground.

Rodder's Roundtable / Viewing photos
January 26, 2023, 04:26:33 PM
I haven't been posting much lately because I'm frustrated with not able to view photos and videos.  Can this be fixed?
Frustrated but working in the shop every day.  Planning a big summer of shows.  Put about 10,000 miles on the 32 last year.

Rodder's Roundtable / Trouble shooting a 2002 Ford

The way I check for vacuum leaks.
Run the engine and put a hose on your propane torch,  don't light it, go around with the LP gas and when a leak is found the engine speeds up.  Works great for me.

Quote from: "idrivejunk"Does that mean I'm old yet, BlueTip?  :D

Our selectors look different, one must be older. Wonder whose?

Mine doesn't work, soooo   Probably newer

Mine still works fine.  Got it back in the Lacquer days from a friend that was the paint sales/rep, been 25 or 30 years.

Quote from: "kb426"I've not seen one of those. The last time I worked in a paint shop was 1972. :)

Old guys always have one of those!
Also still working on the 32.

Rodder's Roundtable / Too old for T Buckets

Never to old for T Bucket.  Run 30,000 miles in this in 1979 to 1981, wish I had her back.
