Rodder's Roundtable / Re: Air Cleaner

Quote from: "BFS57"hello;
My experience with Ebay is that sometimes I feel there are a million people bidding against me and sometimes there seems to be nobody watching the auction I'm trying to get.
My rule is, bid what you would pay for the itam and if someine pays more, they just overpaid for it.
My 2 cents.

Bruce

While I agree with this statement in part, the real secret to winning an ebay auction is snipeing!  Why would you bid on an item before it's about to end?  You are only driving up the selling price.  (good for the seller, bad for the buyer).  I almost never lose an item that I really want.  Its no secret, but you must controll your urge to bid.  Make sure you are on a fast computer (not dialup!) and with less than 30 seconds left to the auction, place a bid for the HIGHEST amount you are willing to pay.  I can almost gaurentee you will win, and for a lot less than your higest bid!   Daniel.

Quote from: "40chevy"Welcome back into rodding. I am going to Jackson, MS on Saturday to a statewide planning meeting of car clubs and such. It's called a planning meeting, but we just about have the calendar filled up with events all around this area. And adding more daily. This link will continue to be updated as the year goes along, but here is where you can find a good list of car events: http://www.ms-sra.org/msra/2007.pdf

Thanks for the link.  Maybe I'll see you at the Bunny run in Jackson this year.

Quote from: "40chevy"I just looked up where Brownsville is located. Have you ever been to the Bunny Run in Jackson, TN?
AL

Ive been to a run in Jackson, but cant recall what is was called.  I didnt have a rod at the time.  I believe it was in 2005.  Had to be the same one. I just recently got back into the building aspect of rodding.  I got out of it for a long long time! But I always liked going to the rod runs.
Daniel.

Quote from: "40chevy"Might need some w i d e r tires on the back, don't ya think? Sharp lookin' ride. Any chance we'll see it at Good Guys Nashville end of June, first of July? Here's a picture of a pickup of a friend of mine, I don't know what size his rear tires are, but they are w i d e.

I hope to have the T at least driveable by then, but either way I plan on being there!  And yeah, the tires are a little excessive    but Ive always like the big and little look!

I already posted most of these in rodding roundtable forum when I did my intro.  I didnt realize this forum was here.  Im posting them again here also where they belong. Sorry   Its a 27 T with a 383 chevy w/350 trans and a 8.8 Ford rear with disc brakes and 4:10 posi gears.  The chasis was made by www.spiritcars.com in Arkansas.  got 15x14 and 15x4 torq trust two's with MT 33x19.50x15 on the rear.  I plan on building it as a kinda "highboy" for now, but willl most definatly be chopping a whole lotta metal outta that big ol roof line down the road!

Thats the 57 olds rear I was gonna use before I opted for the 8.8.

a new search engine?

Yes, I had included the web site in my original posts but the mods must have removed it.  Im sure they had a good reason so I wont post it again.

Quote from: "donsrods"Hi Daniel, welcome to the forum.  Did you get finished with your New Years Eve stint at work ok?  Many drunks on the road?

You will like this forum.  Lots of really nice people on here, all willing to lend a hand.

Don

Thanks Don.  Yeah basicly a quiet night with one sad exception.  A single car accident in the early morning hours which looks like its gonna turn to be a fatal one.  Too make it worse, its was the 19 year old son of one of our own deputies.
