Lee at Import Perfection can bring it in, I think from memory if you can carry it, less than 100 bucks, they have a depot at LA Port :-)

I haven't got details but if brootal contacts tall paul it'll be easily sorted :-)

Rodder's Roundtable / Jay Carine AKA C9 Passed Away
November 24, 2009, 05:25:13 AM
Gee I come on here today cos I figured I forgot to come on here for a while...still very stunned & saddened. A real Knight from the Roundtable, still have a C9 Machine Sticker on my ute that Jay sent me years ago. We used to send each other T Shirts every so often but with a big life change here we weren't contacting each other as often...certainly not as often as we should.

Heck of great bloke, sadly he'll be greatly missed but like other greats of rodding (known & well known) they'll live on in one form or another, he will through his books. Got both his and not sure if he finished the others...

A good down to earth fellow that showed ordinary people are more than capable of extraordinary things.

Vale - Jay Carnine. We're poorer for the loss, but richer for the gains his presence gave.

Rodder's Roundtable / Alternate Hot Rod Magazines
September 06, 2009, 09:24:28 PM
cool, thanx for that pedro, are the originals worth anything? I recall the hunt for issue one when they were brand new was like a treasure hunt with rumours of them here there but not everywhere. Aaron Larsky sent me quite a few & I gave them all away to blokes who were usting to find them but having no luck. Made a few people's day for a bit :-)

Cheers

Rodder's Roundtable / Alternate Hot Rod Magazines
September 06, 2009, 05:33:06 AM
Just got a question for y'all who prolly know this off the top of your head... Hot Rod Deluxe is going again, at least its not the same magazine that Aaron Larsky and crew founded some years back then went under. I only found out a month or so ago.

Lead me to think and now ask...the original Hot Rod Deluxe, how many editions were there before the plug was pulled?

I know later CK Deluxe got up but just wondering about the original HRD? I've got a copy of 1 & 2, just wondering if there were any afterwards prior to CKD?

Thanks in advance.

T5 gearboxes worth in the US?

Specifically what would WC T5 (Mustand, Camaro, Firebird) be worth and a NWC T5 be worth out of a S-10 pickup

I gather the WC are far stronger than the NWC but the NWC have an extention housing that leaves the shifter 10" closer to the bell housing.

So a few hot rods would require making one box outa the 2.

Just wondering what salvage yard prices would be on these?
They're not cheap here in fact so expensive i reckon it'd be cheaper getting them outa the states.

Thanks greatly in advance guys

Deuce, Charlie, Jay &  Tomslik - Thanks guys, thats a whole ton and then some, of help :-)

I'm hoping to get a decent price dual quad manifold and set it up with holley throttle baseplates & strap on Impco 425s.

Fingers crossed I guess about the manifold I've got this lead on...if its a no go then I'll chase up a brand new Edelbrock manifold I guess.

Thanks greatly guys

I mean from the factory & if so what models did they come off?

Got one tracked down but info is coming back slow...so only assuming its a Factory manifold. Hope to use it with LPG (porpane...kinda).

Thanks in advance

Hi everyone, been reading a recent Street Rodder magazine and saw the feature on Lowbuck tools' new "Metal Machine"

Just wondering if anyone's got one in their work shop and what they thought? Seemed pretty good.

Thanks in advance
