Thanks for the info. George!! I didn't know that there was a parts list like that.
I ordered the pins 2.50$ for a set of 2!!!
Thanks for the offer SKR8PN!! I may have to take you up on the offer one day!
This dealer has turned into a total A##Hole
Course with a box of tools you're hooped
Appreciate it

Yeah I did check there George, but they don't sell parts, only complete tools.
Thanks

The one we have here won't sell me the 3 dollar parts to fix a 3/8 impact.
But he'll "rebuild" it at his truck for 125.00.
Just wondering if anyone else has a dealer that'll cough up the parts for it and then I could get them from him.
Thanks
Jeff

Quote from: "oiler"Here in Canada we have the 3 imports the Optra,Aveo and Epica.
We were told by GM that the Aveo was only released in the US because of concerns about the UAW and job protection.
That said the Aveo is the best car by far of the 3.
The Epica is a complete disaster. The aveo has been on the road in South Korea for several years so I think they've pretty much got it sorted out.
We have sold around 10 Aveos with no real problems other than the dash clocks reset themselves to 12 over night.
But the fix is done for that.
I'd get the manual trans one just for the fuel economy.
One of our older Techs bought one for his wife and they really like it.
I know it is the one I'd buy if I was looking for a compact at a reasonable price.
Jeff

What's wrong with the Epica? It's built by Suzuki and I think the others are too?

No they're all built by Daewoo who GM bought out.
The Epica has been plagued with Engine failures and Electrical faults.
Several that i know of have been bought back by GM due to all the porblems and a severe lack of spare parts

Crank sensor.
These will start without the cam sensor hooked up.
It is only for fine tuning fuel and spark delivery.

I decided on what I wanted to build by local shows
And went searching from there.
I've got a question for you,
Are you located in Toronto Ontario?
I know someone there that has reverse of your nickname for his name.

A friend of mine and I went in together and bought a kit and split it.
He did all my pieces for me as he had the majority of aluminium on his 64 Ford.
I'm really pleased with my valve covers and alt. brackets.
Way easier to clean and I haven't touched them with any polish at all.

sweeet :P

You've got it exactly.
The one point with the red glue on it hardly ever breaks but the other 4 I do all the time.

Rodder's Roundtable / Who owns who (revisited)

GM owns Daewoo now.
That is so they can offer quality Chevrelots like the Aveo, Epica and Optra

Most of the time if you resolder the 4 points on the board that are the closest to the wiring connector you'll fix them.
If you look closly you'llseethat the solder will be broken all the way around the circuit pin.
The vibration from the harness and connector breaks them.
There is a safety recall for 92-97 trucks where GM willreplace the boardat no charge

Quote from: "moondisc"The Edelbrock package alone will wake that Rocket up.
Just remember they make all their power on the bottom end, so don't go crazy with the cam.
