After 2.5 years of thrashing, plenty of blood, sweat and guidance form members on this board the '38 hit the streets this weekend. Just HAD to grab some quick shots down at the park of her on her maiden voyage and thought I'd share. Still have to finish the interior, but she is "on the road"!!

Ok rodders....
New MP Brake system (under floor)
New 11" Disc/rotor system up front
Rebuilt (completely) 10x2.5" drums in rear
New lines, proportioning (combination)valve, 2 & 10 lbs residual valves.

LOTS of front end pressure, NO preassure for the rear. Pedal is firm and then gets spongier the more I use it. Have bled and bled and bled the system. Checked M/C, proportioning valve and seem to have lots of flow on the other side of my residual (10 lb.

My question (finally)"could" my residual NOT be holding 10 lbs pressure inline and alowing the system to "bleed back"?
This has me so pi**ed I threw the tires back on and took her for a midnight ride around the neihborhood last night (much to my neighbors chagrin!)

HELP!!!

Rodder's Roundtable / Drive Line Question
April 28, 2004, 04:31:19 PM
Here's my quandry, crawled under the coupe today to measure for my new drive shaft. While I was measuring the space between "locator Tabs on my yoke (trans) noticed that it was a "bolt-on" style (TH 400). This brings me to my question. How will the drivetrain have any kind of "flex" to deal with rough roads etc if there is no "slippage" in my trans yoke? Is there something I'm missing here or should the system work as it should?
Thanks for the imput, K Dalton
