I'm actually interested in how they joined the engines.

Please keep me informed if they are pulled (like to see some photos and ask a few questions)

Thanks.  8)

Rodder's Roundtable / Drag race fuel system

Just got here...

If it's not fixed by the next run, get him to shut down after it begins and coast through the traps in neutral.
I want to see a photo of all the plugs, numbered if possible.

Sounds to me like fuel starvation, I just want to see how bad it is.

This is what I enjoy doing in my spare time whilst working in the 'States: (many photos, grab a coffee) http://www.ozrodders.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=24486&highlight=trip

Pity I'm working in the rust belt

Rodder's Roundtable / How's your gas?
January 07, 2009, 03:04:07 PM
Filled at $4.62 a gallon last night in Germany. Still near $2 cheaper, per gallon, than before the prices went down.

Welcome to Europe!  :D Please bend over...

Quote from: "Flipper"All of this labor outsourcing is one of the big reasons that loyalty to the big three has gone to ####.

I beg to differ.  :)

As a regular visitor to the 'States, I make note of getting a different (hire) car each time I come. (monthly visits)

Keep in mind these are mid-full sized cars only, I have seen some shockers.
Here's some examples:

Pontiac G6 ('08 model with low milage)
Quiet and comfortable with enough poke to have fun.
Severely lacking in suspension development, the thing would wallow through corners to the point of lurching when pushed hard.

Ford Mustang ('08 model)
Cool! A mustang...8)
Huh? Rear vision is virtually non-existant
Wha? The engine cut out 5 minutes into the journey *everything dead*
:?:  10 minutes later, the car could be started again and showed no signs of the previous issue.
:?  The customer service desk was not suprised when I returned 20 minutes after picking up the car and politely asked for a replacement.

Chevrolet Monte Carlo ('09 model)
Quiet and comfortable. Warmed seats A+
Drank fuel at regular highway speeds
Handled like a waterbed
Designed and assembled in a lego factory

Until the US car makers can provide the style, fit, finish and reliability in comparison to the rest of the world, then they shall become #1.
Until that day....I'll keep laughin'

Rodder's Roundtable / Air to water intercooler repair

Please try and get a pic.
Most intercoolers are just a fancy radiator so it could be a simple fix.

Just a thought...

Is there any way to have an auto-announce that there are people in the chat room?
Something like the icon flashing or even the number of chatters displayed beside the icon?

Make it that little bit easier to see if anyone's on.

Just a thought...

Looking forward to it.
1/2 the fun of travelling across is getting out of the factory and searching for old tin.
Here's something I found earlier this year.
*link coming, need to be a member for 7 days*
There's a few more farmyards around with T's and A's that I'm chasing up.

Waiting for spring to arrive so I can head to Altoona and find more info on the board track they had there in the 20's and 30's.

G'day all,

Caleb here.  :D
Made the trek across from Ozrodders to see what the fuss about the chat function is...

An Australian that's shacked up in Holland, I'm a monthly visitor in the US for work. (Bedford, PA)
Headed back next weekend actually. Not looking forward to the weather though...

I'll be lurking, reading all I can.
