Looking for some books on Ford flatheads. Anybody got any suggestions?
Ford Flathead V-8 Builders Handbook 1932-1953 by Frank Oddo. Fisher Books
here is the link to the frank otto book .... you can even click through a few pages...
http://www.amazon.com/reader/1555611192?%5Fencoding=UTF8&ref%5F=sib%5Fdp%5Fpt
you might also find some stuff here..
http://www.oldirononline.com/
it all depends on which information you want and what are planning on doing... rebuilding a flat head...????
i posted a link to some flat head ford repair videos a while back... showed how to take them apart... how to machine them and to put them back together...
there are also places like goodson.com that sell valve guide pilots for various flat heads...
here is the direct link to the V 12 overhaul manual... very similar to the V8
