Does anyone know of a mild cam for efi 5.0 ford that has a healthy idle?I want to stay under 480 lift.
roller cam i take it ???????
as i was thinking that there is a factory ford roller cam that came in cougars that had an idle that was not liked by the rebuilding people... too much rump rump rump.. for them.....

The Comp cams 35 512 8 is very similar to a stock mustang gt cam. Whether it's worth the price or not, I don't know. The flow figures on the heads flat line after .4 lift. The stock springs will take about 480 before coilbind occurs. My thought was to get a narrow centerline cam but the efi experts say that it won't develop enough vacuum to run right. That's why the narrow ones are 112 and up. What I want my not be a reality. The explorer cam that's in there is pretty mild compared to a gt cam. I have access to a gt cam so if nothing better turns up, that's going to be the next step.
