Title: GM Vent windows of the late 30's
Post by: rooster on June 03, 2004, 11:38:10 AM
I have a broken vent window part from a 37 chevy, its made of pot metal, its a common broken part from over tighten vent window. I have not found anyone who reproduces this part as of yet. I was thinking that maybe this can be repaired by sleaving ( copper pipe) the broken area , filling the void where the broken part is missing with JB weld then redrilling where the bolt holds the two pieces together. any ideas?

Which side do you need it for? I have a pass side door for a 38 sedan. Am I right that you are looking for the lower piece in the picture? If you are interested I could check its condition. I'll be at a run this weekend, but let me know if this might help.
