you bet, I have it and a nova and a good driver for the nova so ill be racing this one, should shake it down in march, lookin for a mid tens for it. and the nova.
I am taking the main body of Hooley's Henry J to the sandblaster tomorrow. I have most of the rest of the car roughed in. Later in the week I will start on the body and finish it first so that he can start reassembling the car. I have had to make a lot of pieces.
I told Hooley Saturday that it would have been a lot easier to have built these gassers when the cars were only 10 to 15 years old. The years have not been good to this one.

Sam, for an old fart you sure do turn out some fine cars. Looks great. );b(

Hmmm...10 - 15 years old....a 93 Aerostar.....a '89 Geo Metro.....maybe a '95 Lesabre.....Gassers?...Nawww!
Hooley's Henry J will be worth it. Just make sure you put enough hardener in the Bondo....that alcohol motor should make it a real twister. 8)
Maybe Hooley and Sam should have a match race :D
Looking goood.

I will pull the front clip in the morning and take the Henry to the blaster.
We will start talking trash about the big match race in about a month.

One of my buddies in high school had a 52 Willys with a 301 in it. It was quick.

I plan to primer it with Rust Defender on Sunday and then I will start the bondo. The doors and rear quarters are filled and ready to be primed also. Since my whole shop is my paint booth, I have to wait for a nice enough day to put the other project car outside while I paint. Weather looks good for Sunday. Snowing heavy here now. Snow plow had to make two tries at the hill in front of my house.
I do not want to say the car is rough but it looks like somebody must have hit it with a hammer at least once a day for the last 50 years.
Hooley and I are going to the Wichita swap meet Saturday.

A few years ago there was an auction in my town that had a Henry from a weed row. One of my friends commented how the lower 1/3 of the car was missing. This car belonged to my brother's friend who drove it in 1966 to high school. Had a Olds V8 and a Cad-Lasalle trans. They had alot of fun in that car. I still want one but not bad enough to start with a rust bucket.

Oh, man, I love that car. I'm keeping my eyes open for an early 50's 2-door. I'll add that model to my list. Good job with the paint!
