I need a measurement on a 55 Chevy car glove box. I need the didtance from the hinge to the back of the box, measured at the bottom. TIA

Center of the hinge to the back of the box is 6 inches

It has A/C but it is also in a 47 GMC truck too.

Just curious as I have seen a few glove boxes cut down because of a/c installation.  Some of the aftermarket companies offer a smaller glove box liner to accomodate the a/c unit.  Good luck

The original glove box in the Ugly Olds was "shortened" 4- 1/2" to allow room for A/C goodies....Really easy to do & more "user friendly" .... :wink:
