I picked up a 82 S10 for a frame swap. The trans should be a 4L60,same as 700R4 ? This came behind a 2.8 V6, would it bolt up and work behind a S.B.C. for an around town driver? Thanks, Skip
not without an adapter....
if it was a 4.3 it'd work....
Well, it was a good dream while it lasted. Thanks
They do make an adapter, and it's fairly cheap.
Where else can I look. I see Speedway has one for the V6 to a 350 trans , dosen"t seem that would help.
here is the deal.... the S-10 tranny behind a full size engine;
you have to use the small S-10 type converter, no option with small bell housing. It requires a custom built converter so the stall speed is not sky high with the V-8.
Acquire the correct bell housing tranny...
That settles it for me, thanks.
