Post by: elwood on March 04, 2007, 01:51:01 PM
hi all,
im running electric fans on my 51 8BA  narrow twin belt motor, so im needing to replace the stock fan pulley that sticks way out, with a lower profile idler / tension pulley.

Does the fan pulley have one, or two grooves? I don't recall. Do you just need something to keep the water pump belt tight?

hi, yes i need something to run the water pump belt around, the fan pulley has 1 grove, so if i remove the fan, i need a idler or tensioner pulley to replace it with.
ive seen some pics, but cant find the part.

60s Ford AC idler pulley would work. You would have to make a bracket, but that shouldn't be a big deal.
