This link just showed up over on the Ford Barn Streetrodder Forum. Really good history and pics (and sound) of the twin engine car.

Lee; Thanks for the memories! We use to always poo-poo Ivo as young guys. I think it was racers jealousy and that show business sideline.....Frank
PS: Nice audio in that grouping.........
Really cool stuff. Thanks for posting it.
I saw TV Tommy when he came to the Pittsburgh International Dragway sometime in the late '60's. He was a real showman. His trailer truck had glass sides so you could see the two dragsters inside, and there was a Corvette in there too, that they used as pit transportation. Hydraulics lowered them out of the truck, and it smacked of a real pro. We loved it.
Thanks again for the memories and the sounds.

Thanks for the post Lee, that brought back memories from my childhood. :D
used to watch him on "Wide World of Sports"
"the thrill of victory, the agony of defeat"
still remember watching that poor soul crashing on the ski jump ramp.
and they said all that "stuff" I did in High School would ruin my memory

One of the most impressive races I ever saw was Ivo's twin Buicks going against Eddie Hills twin blown Pontiac car. Ivo won the first round, but Eddie won the last two. Cool and I Have pics of it somewhere.
Great stuff. The sound clip woke up a few of my co-workers. I didn't remember the part where he ran a blown motor on one side. Talk about run whatcha brung!

Why does that place sound familiar...?
Don, do you recognize the name Blanket Hill Speedway?
It was a roundy round down in the valley near Kittanning, Pa. that featured streets, mini's and modifieds the last time I was up there. I don't know if it's still open nowadays.
