Title: Electric fan help needed
Post by: WZ JUNK on April 26, 2006, 07:27:44 PM
I am trying to help a friend with his 50 Chevy truck.  We need to use an electric fan and we have no more than 3 inches of space between the radiator and the bolt heads on the water pump pulley.  The core size is 18" wide by 21" tall.  I found a Flex-a-lite brand dual fan that is thin enough but it is to tall.  So I really need a fan that is thin and that I can match up to his core in such away as to get good air flow through his radiator.

Grind down the bolts on the pulley to give you 3.19" of space...and use the Derale #16926 model.

See more here.. http://www.derale.com/electricfans.shtml

Or use button head cap screws.
