Does anyone know the seal # for a 9" ford. Looks to be about 2 1/8" in round. Have some National 9568 (think that's the #) that are to big. Think it is a later rear end housing. It is a currie that came on the frame. Also could use the gasket # for the 3rd member. Seems the young guys don't know how to look things like that up.
thanks bob
Hello Bob, The number for the seals I have in my 9" from a 74 Bronco with the large bearing 28 spline axels are as follows:
Pinion seal Timken# 7044NA
Axel seal Timken# 51098
Gasket NAPA # NGA P-27994
Hope this helps

Thanks Dave,
Went down to a local place that's been around for years that does brakes and clutch work. Forgot about it being around anymore since they moved. Told Virgil the seal opening size and axle sixe and he walked to the back and came out with the grease seals and the housing gasket. Didn't even have to look them up. Nice to have people like him around.
