Title: motor mount metal thickness

if i was to make a mount similar to the one in the pic, what thickness metal should i use? i'll be using the stock motor mount. will 1/4 be sufficient?

More than enough. I would use 1/4 for the main part, and 3/16 for the gussets.

1/4" wou;d be fine Jim, but 1/8th would probably do.
