Title: In line Fuel Filter, Under the car!
Post by: rooster on January 17, 2006, 03:37:16 PM
Looking for the right filter for under the car. Thought we could just go to the parts store and get one, NO Luck! The new lines we installed are 5/16" instead of 3/8"!  The new lines we got have 5/16 tub threds and they do not seat properly into a fuel injection fuel filter, even if they were 3/8 tub threds.  What kind of fitting do I need to go in one of these OEM filters????

We are not running fuel injection! We would settle for one of the kind where you piece in using rubber hose and clamps. Cant find anything with any size to it. Been to advanced auto and NAPA!

What are you guys using?

C.R.S. strikes again!

I believe I found a metal Fram filter for a Mopar(?) which had female pipe-thread fittings on each end.

Adapters from inverted-flare thread to pipe thread are readily available in most autoparts stores.

IF I can remember, I will try to find my notes tomorrow.

dont know what you call it or if can be made, parts store does not sell it.
We went to the rubbers hoses and clamps filter and moved on. Thanks for the input!
