What a weekend, unlike Queensland it didn't rain and we all had a great time.
So much so that some of the HRI members were missing for the photo opportunity of a lifetime.
BCAL was missing, apparently stranded on the Thunderdome as a result of being too cheap to buy fuel.
Jimbob was driving the wheels off his 'Trailer Queen'.
Dave was gathering up more 'dust collectors'.
Inbetween announcements and other official tasks, Carps found time to scribble on everything from cars to trophies.
Meanwhile, everybody else was just having a blast being crazy hot rodders.
Most excellent.
Wish I was there. :(
some buddy oughtta tell those guys on the racetrack they're goin' the wrong way!
I thought they were backing up...
Hey Dolly thats flatoz snr hanging on, I reckon I have claw marks in the paint now!
I cant get pics .. just a box with description, file size and number of views ... can anyone tell me what i've gotta do to view them ... this happens with 90% of all pics posted but occasionally i do get them .. I'd imagine it's something in my settings but i cant see where or what.. thanks Mike

If you're not logged in, I don't think you can view the pics.
Have you set up your account so that it logs you in automatically or do you only put in your username and password when it asks e.g. When you're creating or replying to a post?

Brootal,
Must be something with his settings we need to get TJ to look at it for him as I think he is the Computer Wiz in that family.
Great pics Dolly, Thanks.
Cheers, Jimbob

I imagine that since multiple people use the PC that it is not set to login automatically.
I think it may be a security setting on this new-ish version of the RRT. It was happening to me many months ago until I noticed I wasn't logged in. Even Fat Cat didn't realise that if you weren't logged in you couldn't see pics. :)
Thanks Dolly, I will post some pics below too!

My lineup! The dusty Forty coupe, fresh back from 7 years off the road and unwashed towing a trailer full of Lowrider bikes, Donna's 59 Cadillac Fleetwood and my everydayer FC Holden wagon (like an Aussie 55 Chev but smaller!) All driven 100 kms to get there!

Hey dooode!
No problem, remember what I taught you when you were here?
The steering wheel goes to the inside!
Thus for RHD cars this is the right way, although it could have been very interesting if Dave drove the Caddy the correct way. :?
When the NASCARs race they go the other direction and the RHD AUSCARs go this way, which is why we never have a NASCAR vs NASCAR race.
Great pics guys.....
Cant wait for next year!
Sure looks pretty good fun ripping around chundadome. :D
Wow LOL  You Ozzie Boys sure know how to have fun. Was this the Rumble you told me about in your PM Dave :?: LOL

QuoteGeez Dave, you only just met the girl, into the PM's already
Well it is good manners to reply when someone PM's you first! Plus one could never be sure Holly was a girl until you actually meet! Remember Dolly is a doll but some think it was a girl too!

What about the blue 59 Cadillac (from Vic) that stopped to ask if you needed help?
QuoteDave's a lovely boy but if you're not careful, he'll take you for a ride like he did with me.
Now ladies I am a happily married man. A ride in the car is the best you are gunna get! Besides I do not want to be the next Bobbit! Donna can be mean when she needs to be!

Maybe bcal has been hanging around the NSW SD so long that he's beginin to believe all that anti Victorian rhetoric

Hey, what about that big freindly Victorian fella who strolled across to see what he could do to help, before shooting the incriminating photos.
Of course once he found out you'd only run out of petrol he did laugh a lot, but he did WALK the entire length of the 'dome to offer assistance. And I do believe the guys in the tender vehicle that rescued you are also Victorians.
It was kinda fun watching as the Canberrans rolled round on the ground peeing in their pants laughing at your misfortune.

Rhetoric, is not a word I'd use to describe that attitude.

Typical Victorians, always trying to stir up trouble
I'm beginning to think that what a certain SD has going around saying might have a ring of truth to it
But in the end who was it that gave me lift to the servo.
Not a bloody Victorian :P
It was the black Willys convertible in the second post, I went aroung the track in, I was surprised in the accelleration of the 4 cylinder motor, quite nippy but not in the V8 class!
