Title: Shock absorber specs
Post by: 41ChevyTrucker on February 26, 2004, 06:16:56 PM
Any good websites out there with comparisons of shock absorbers?

Lookng for specs like max/min height, stroke, rebound, compression rates. I am trying to figure out the layout of my shocks and airbags in the rear on my truck. I was thinking of maybe running the shocks in reverse so they pull kind of like a softail. Anyone ever do that?

I went to www.monroe.com when I was looking for a certain shock.  I wanted a certain upper and lower mounting configuration, along with a certain min and max length.  Got it all there, then went to an auto parts store and bought 'em

The auto parts store, that I buy almost all my stuff from, loaned me a just outdated catalog that gives all the mounting and lengths.
