I have used this a couple of times. It was less money than the Thermotech that I was using. It didn't turn loose in the high heat and did about the same in sound deadening as the others I have used. No odors, either.

I use the peel and seal stuff from Lowes and Home Depot.  No problems

Has anyone ever tried Rockwool insulation bats? They will not absorb water or mold , will not burn and are used inside mufflers . I was thinking of using it inside the coupe one day . I have used it on other applications and you can carve it with an electric carving knife into any kind of shape . There is one type for heat insulation and another for sound insulation . Both are fire proof .
