I'm interested in hearing from people who have opinions on Krown. It's available mostly in Canada but there is a couple shops in Michigan.
I've never driven my Pontiac Vibe in the winter but just got a new pickup so the Vibe will be a winter car from now on. It has less than 100k miles so l plan to keep it a few more years and want to keep the rust away if I can.
Since no one responded, it appears that there is no "known" protection for keeping cars from rusting in Michigan. :)
On another site, guys say they are using something called Fluid Film. I never read up on it, but it might be a yearly application.

I'm looking at options and Krown has decent reviews in Canada so I was wondering if maybe the Canadian members here knew if it's worth trying.
I did a search and see that phat46 uses Krown. No other mention. You're probably right John. Maybe we're fighting a losing battle here in Michigan. At 74 I probably shouldn't be too concerned anyway.
I have used fluid film for loosening rusty bolts . It is quite good at staying where its put . I would think you could spray it on and leave it until spring . It does not dry
I don't get on here much lately. I do use Krown, I live right on the border with Canada and knew people who went over there and got their vehicles Krowned. It works. A guy that worked there for 13 years opened a service over here, the first one in Mi. There are now 2-3 local ones. I have an appointment this Weds. to get my annual, 3rd one, spray done.
Thanks Joe. I had my car done last week in Grand Rapids and was real impressed with the application for $139. It took 2 hrs and was very thorough. Now I'll see how it works.
