Title: Model A body mounting: Do they use wood spacers?
Post by: idrivejunk on September 12, 2018, 07:41:56 PM
Did a 1930 Ford five window coupe body use any kind of mounting shims or pads? If yes, can you describe what and where?

Thanks  :)

Just an FYI that wood block kit would only work if you are using the original style channel subrails. If you are using tubing just make spacers from hardwood like you can scavenge from pallets.

Bob, thank you sir. I always like a helpful diagram and thats half of what I was hunting, admittedly not very hard.

Moose, yep I plan to use 1x3 but I bet we won't use wood. Maybe.

At any rate, nice job helping me out forum guys. :D

I dug this out of a guilty looking squirrel's hidey hole... some are roll-yer-own.
