The spread of prices that I see, are increasing.
Station I pass in Phx often , dropped to 2.16 a gallon on tuesday. Of course I did not need gas then
2 days later , I paid 2.26 a gallon at a station near me here.
My town has been at $2.39 for quite a while, then jumped to $2.49 like everyone else. We went to Peoria today and saw a lot of stations have gone to $2.67.
$2.49 and up in Michigan

HELLO;
I live in California, I guess I don't need to say anymore! $3 plus here!!!
Bruce

Paid 2.18 a gallon this morning in Phx. 21.2 gallons in to the truck
Quote from: "Crosley"Paid 2.18 a gallon this morning in Phx. 21.2 gallons in to the truck
Same gas station was 2.22 a gallon friday morning. Only 5.5 gallons in the Goldwing 1800
Had to fill up at $2.79 yesterday in northern MI. It dropped to $2.50 today. At home in southern MI it's $2.69.
Tony, you guys not only get cheap gas, you can ride motorcycles in January. It's supposed to get all the way up to 17 degrees F today. (http://www.myemoticons.com/images/weather/cold/windy.gif)

It was 40*F at the house this morning. Usual 30 - 35 degree swing , will make it mid 70's today.
We attended a Home - Landscape show expo deal today in down town Phx area. I drove past the same gas station I filled the Goldwing up on friday. Today the gas is 2.20 a gallon
I have a Sam's club membership mainly for gas because it's been about $.05 cheaper there than most other places and I get a 5% cash back when I use Sam's credit card.
Lately I've noticed their gas is around $.10 more than the cheapest, locally. Their increase seemed to happen about the same time they closed a bunch of stores. Maybe it's just a local thing...dunno.
gas has gone down a bit in my area, down to $2.22.9-$2.25.9ish. filled a few days ago at local FRY's (kroger) $2.23.9 before $1.00 worth of points

Paid 2.28 a gallon friday the 26th at station local to me.
Premium gasoline is at 2.80 + a gallon.
Diesel is still in the 2.60+ area per gallon.
$2.45 today. It's been stable for some time.
I was on the western side of Phoenix today. Actually in GLendale AZ.. paid 2.22 a gallon. 4.8 gallons into the Goldwing
Local to me, the station I use is at 2.27 a gallon lately.
other stations I drive past are in the 2.34 - 2.38 a gallon range. These stations have no vehicles in them when I drive past
I can't even post the price of gas in this area...it's all over the place from $2.49 to $2.69, and seems to change daily.
Paid 2.24 a gallon this morning in Phx station I drive past
1/2 mile west of that station... another gas station was at 2.34 a galllon. Not a vehicle in the place. It is usually full of work trucks and lawn care trucks with trailers
I bought gas in Waterville Oh today at $2.10. On the way back I filled up at Costco in Perrysburg for $2.18. Here in Swanton it's $2.34.

I was in the area again friday morning about 5:45am... the station that was vacant at 3.34 a gallon. Dropped a nickel to 2.29 a gallon.
I took our son's expensive car, left in our care while they are trucking all over the country, for a bit of gas today, 92 was
$3.19 at Chevron, 87 was $2.84.
Paid 2.30 a gallon this morning. Local station to me.
Anywhere between $2.32 and $2.59. Quite a spread.
Was driving into East Peoria, IL today and noticed the price of gas was $2.69. Ouch. On the west side of the river, the price is $2.44. Had an appointment at Costco in East Peoria, so I stopped at their gas station, and it was $2.33. Guess where I filled up?
Gasoline prices around here went nutz.
In a week: it jumped from low to mid 2.30s up to the upper 2..40's a gallon
Then up over 2.50 a gallon.
This morning (sunday) we went to breakfast. Station was 2.55 when we drove by to breakfast. On the way back , my wife says "it's 2.60 a gallon now. Station was still empty of customers.
Diesel is at 2.68 to 2.75 a gallon in my area.
Gettin' real close to three bucks here in Lost Wages.
$2.49 in my little town on the way in last night. I'll drive the 8 miles today to fill up the truck at Kroger with $.50 off per gallon. Saw some as high as $2.69 yesterday on the way to Chicago.
Out and about on Tuesday, saw $2.89 to $3.07.
A gas station I stop at in Phx... Today: it is 2.68 a gallon. Prices keep going up.
it is on the TV news a bit too, with folks complaining on gas prices.
Well Tony, you know that the refineries are ramping up for that summer blend. It always costs more, just like the winter blend costs more.
Come up and visit us in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Price in US Gal/ US$ works out to $ 3.58/gal today and expecting another .30/gal in near future (summer gas you know)
Canuck
I paid 2.64 a gallon this morning near my house. Glad to find that. Many stations are in the mid to upper 2.70 a gallon now.
I guess we are headed to 3 dollar a gallon gasoline here again.
I paid $3.20 last week for the low priced high price (Chevron) stuff. TV said yesterday that the lowest price in the valley was $2.99.
We're around $2.75 gal. here. Big refinery fire up by Duluth, so we will probably see a big jump soon.
Just hit three bucks a gallon here today....😒
I paid 2.59 4 days ago. I haven't looked to see if it changed yet. :)
My local area: it is 2.86 and lower. I paid 2.71 this morning.
The 2.86 is at a Shell station. They are always higher on price out here in Arizona
Guess we are kinda lucky here in Doodah.
Today
(http://carnut.org/facebook/gas.jpg)
I rode past the 2.86 a gallon stores this morning to the 2.75 a gallon place.
The 2.86 was at a the Quik Mart and the 7-11 store across the street. I guess they compete for less business?

I paid 2.80 a gallon friday morning in Phx. Diesel fuel is 3.00+ a gallon in many places now
It's poked up around $3.40 around here the past week or so.
2.90 a gallon has become common number I see in my area near the house.
In Phx last week on my commute to work: I see 2.87 on up.
Diesel is over 3.00 a gallon now.
Regular was 2.86 at Circle K in Sterling last night and Krogers across the street was 2.79
$3.05 today in the Thumb of Michigan. 😕
$2.70 in Toledo.
Quote from: "enjenjo"$2.70 in Toledo.
Frank, there was story on Ch. 4 from Detroit last night that was going to explain the rise in gas prices in S.E. Mich. I didn't stick around to hear it, I had already exceeded my daily limit of b.s. 😃
Hello;
Youse guys are lucky!! Around here is Cali, it's $3.50 at the discount places!!!! :(U) It just keeps climbing!!!!
Bruce
Well it always the same story on gas prices rising.
Because they changed from winter blend to summer blend.
Because they changed from summer blend to winter blend.
Because there was a fire in XXX refinery.
Because they are doing maintenance on XXX refinery.
Because we had a cold winter.
Because we had a warm winter.
Because there is a pipe line down.
Because there is a new pipe line.
It always comes down to the same reason. Because they can.
Hello;
I take back what I said earlier!!!!!! Had to get some gas! Stoped at a 76 and the price was $4.39 a gallon!! JHC!!!!!

p.s. the little guys finger is pointing wrong! Should bet words my butt!!!!

That purty much is what my brother told me for years when he worked in the industry.
Unless there was an explosion or fire ... the maintenance was scheduled far in advance.
Circle K station I use in Phx... was up to 2.90 a gallon. It dropped to 2.86 on wednesday.
The Circle K station 1/2 mile west of that one... was at 2.96 a gallon
The last three days the price has jumped a dime per day.
paid $2.99.9 at local Frys (kroger) before $1.00 shopping points discount
there was one Circle K (you can use points there also) that was a bit cheaper but they are surrounded by road construction.

Here's the truth: the well head price has risen over the past 6 months. The price of oil per barrel has risen steadily over the last 6 months. That is the direct reflection of the gasoline prices. There is always supply and demand but when ever wholesale prices rise, so does retail. The natural gas prices aren't high enough for my area to rebound yet. I may not ever see that again in the foreseeable future.
$3.19 everywhere today....of course we have an 1,100 trip planned for next week....😕
Many stations I see now are 3.00 a gallon on up to 3.11 for regular grade
I paid $2.75 today. I wonder if it will be higher by tuesday? If the holiday rule is in effect, that should be it for a few days. :)
I paid 3.00 a gallon this morning at local station to me. Which: has now been taken under the banner of SHELL gasoline.
This gasoline station and others of the same brand have automatic car washes. If you buy a car wash at the time of gasoline pruchase. They take 10 cents off per gallon. Except: on holiday weekends.... oddly enough the car wash discount is never offered on holiday weekends. Hmmmm?
Prices at some places are starting to drop, I guess because the holidays are over. I saw $2.77 yesterday which is the lowest I've seen in quite a while. I've also noticed that a couple of the 'car wash discount' places have quit offering the discount even on holidays.
We had 3 stations in town (2900 pop.), a Casey's, Freedom and BP. Casey's bought the freedom station and shut it down. They are supposed to start building their new Casey's at that location this coming August. It's a better location about three blocks away; the corner of two busy state highways. There will be another empty gas station at the old Casey's.
I paid 3.10 a gallon on tuesday . I have noticed a few places that premium gasoline in 3.50 to 3.56 a gallon
got 35 gallons, paid $2.09.9 tonite with using $1.00 worth of fuel points. most stations around me seem to have settled on $3.09.9. we'll see how long it'll stay there
later jim
I paid 3.06 tuesday morning. Many stations I roll by Are still at 3.10 a gallon.
Diesel fuel seems to be at 3.10 or slightly higher
Went to SoCal over the weekend, tanked up here for $3.79 and in Ontario, Cali, about 40 miles inland from the coast for $3.90 on the back leg. Down on the coast, I saw it for just under, and just over $4 and change.
paid 3.05 on friday morning in Phx area I drive thru... Since the price went north of 3 dollars a gallon here. Seems like the industry is happy , for now.
I have seen diesel fuel a few cents lower than regular grade gasoline

Costco near me is $2.85.9
i filled at a local Circle K at $2.99.9 before using grocery points for a $1 off
got 35 gallons for $70 :)

I spoke too soon. Station I ride past was at 2.99-9 this morning . 3 dollars a gallon for the truck, 12.04 gallons.
My wife uses the Fry's points for her gasoline.
We have not used the Costco near us for gasoline in a year or so.. The place is absolutely jammed up all day with people. Unless you get there at smack dab opening minute.
I use premium non-ethanol in my small engines, and we went to the neares Phillips 66 yesterday to fill two 5 gallon cans. Regular was $2.89, while all the other stations in town were $2.71. Close to $3.50 for the premium. Oh well. Then we went to Kroger for gas for the truck, and using my card discount, it was around $2.26 for reg.
Down a bit here from a couple of weeks ago, $3.20 to $3.60 out and about town yesterday; I got some a Smith's with points discount for$2.88.
The local (Detroit) TV. stations were predicting last week how our gas prices would go up and peak on the 4 th. As usual just the opposite happened, we went down from $3.10 to $2.69. 😄 The predictions they make always go the opposite, but I was worried as they usually do peak around the 4th, especially since Canada Day, their Independance Day, Is July 1, and many of our Canadian neighbors come over here for "cheap" gas for their holidays, and our local gas stations are more than happy to jack up the prices for them, since it's still cheaper than $1.26 a liter over there. I went over to my sister in laws house in Canada last week, about a five mile trip, to do some home repairs for her, but made sure I had plenty of gas before I left! 😉
Monday am.. In Phoenix area near my work: I paid 2.94 a gallon for regular.
This is a standard pump at a Circle K Store here. No points or other discount gizmo. Just buying gasoline.
Yesterday the price here in swanton was $2.64. I had .40 in fuel points so I paid $2.24

I too use premium non-ethanol in ALL small engines. THEN I got a DEGREE  from "Team Smart" recently
SOMEHOW :?: I thought seeing as how my GARDEN tractor uses and hold so much fuel.(automotive type tank and fill) I should try regular ethanol. Worked ok.Same. Why not.
The replacement fuel pumps warn of using gas with too much ethanol in them.
They are like $200
End of pump  Had to splice in cheap electric to save a lot of that pile of money.
I use the non-ethanol premium, because that's all that available here; no lower grades w/o ethanol.
The prices here are all over the place. You can see $2.64 in one town, and the next will be $2.98 for regular. Doesn't make any sense to me. I am glad to see that Casey's contractors are really going to town on the new gas station in town. This past week, they got the footings poured and already have all the piping and conduit in the ground. A definite improvement over the Freedom station that was there...and over the old Casey's two blocks away.
I paid 2.88 a gallon on thursday this week. Kinda surprised at the price drop. 51 bucks later , the truck was full
filled truck up. same station. Same 2.88 a gallon. just over 50 dollars this time.
gas station Circle K I use in Phx , near work.... has been at 2.78 a gallon for 2 weeks now. I am surprised the price has remained stabil
Gas station not far from us is at 2.80 a gallon. Most of the stations in the area are at 2.90 - 2.92 a gallon for regular .... diesel is at 3.00 or higher
Gas around me is as high as $2.95, low as $2.70. Got gas at Kroger on Friday for $2.07 after $.65 Kroger discount.
Paid 2.84 for gasoline in Phx on wednesday...
the station with 2.78 a gallon. Well........ the pumps have the yellow "out of service" bags on them. The diesel pumps are still in use. That is odd

paid 2.83 a gallon this morning... the 2.78 a gallon station: the pump handles are still in yellow baggies.
Diesel is around 3.06 a gallon.
$3.15 at Chevron in northwest Las Vegas the other day; most major brands are in that range, give or take a few cents, but the lesser brands are around twenty cents or so lower.
Plastic bags off the pumps at a Station near work... Still at 2.78 a gallon of regular grade gasoline . Filled up the Goldwing this morning.
Paid 2.82 a gallon out near the house last week.
THe 2.78 a gallon station is at 2.80 a gallon this week. I did not buy gasoline there.. Bad planing in my part with the Goldwing gas needs.
Out and about this past week, gas is anywhere from $2.72 to $2.99. It's just nuts.
The past week , on thursday I paid 2.80 a gallon at the station near work... About 1/2 mile away , the station is at 2.88 a gallon. The place was empty of vehicles
$3.26 at the local Chevron a couple of days ago. I haven't been out and about much of late, so haven't noted prices around town.
paid 2.90 for gasoline , near the house... up about 6 cents..
Gasoline station near work... is now 2.90 a gallon. Bought gas this morning. The Goldwing does not hold too much, about 4.6 gal was installed
Gas yesterday at Costco was $2.44, $2.70 here in town.
Just dropped to $2.55 in lower
We paid $2.44 in Park City, KY yesterday (we spent a few days at Mammoth Cave for our anniversary). Back to normal prices up here; ~$2.79.
$2.62 here this am.
2.88 a gallon on friday morning in my usual Phx station.. The station 1/2 mile west , is still 2.96 a gallon.
The stations I use are at 2.90 a gallon lately.. diesel has been 3.10 - 3.15 a gallon
Saw a few stations around here at $2.08 today but I just filled the car and a couple of cans for $2.13 yesterday...
Paid 2.80 a gallon this morning. A station near the house. Months ago: this station was taken over by Shell Gasoline. Prices soon went up. Shell gas around here is always 3 to 8 cents higher. We stopped buying gasoline there.
Something changed? Their prices have dropped back down.
We drove to the Chicago area yesterday, and a small town just east of LaSalle, IL had a Love's station on the interstate with $2.199. I filled up on the way home, where gas is @2.49.
I was relatively pleased when I went to fill up the blown Pontiac today in Rogers Arkansas and our favorite flavor was $2.76. :) That was low enough to get even my attention. 100% Sunoco 91. Mid was $2.61, Regular $2.46... and E10 for $2.16. Chugalug, right foot!
The price around here has been $2.20 for over a week now. Today in Wauseon regular was $2.06.
Gas prices in Ontario have been dropping..we are down from about $1.25 LITRE  to about $1.00
Prices at some stations around here have broken the $2/gal price at $1.97 which is the same as $.25 in 1965 dollars. I worked in a gas station in '65 and during gas wars we sold gas for as low as $.22 quite often. Pretty close to now.
Gas is cheap right now here but I feel for our Canadian neighbors. I wonder why the difference. Taxes?
still pushing 2.80 to 2.90 a gallon for gasoline here... common to see diesel at 3.15 a gallon in metro Phx areas
We are down to $2.04-$2.06 around here, waiting to break the two dollars a gallon barrier! 😄 I have seen a lot more Canadian cars over here recently, probably Christmas shopping, but I bet they also fill up the tank while here! Can't blame them, even though the Canadian dollar is worth .70 here it's still cheaper. 👍
I paid 2.20 this evening.
Even lower than at last fill-up today, same spot... E10 for $1.96 and my flavor, 100% 91 was $2.66. :)
Paid 2.74 a gallon this morning, near the house.... diesel was 3.10 a gallon

If you drove three blocks in another direction away from the "Main Drag" , it was $1.00++ cheaper...  :x :x
Only the "locals" knew about that ...
Or when my parents lived close to a "resort" town in Wisconsin...ALL the local people knew to buy gas, groceries, ammunition, ANYTHING they may need by Thursday night.... It seems that ALL the prices in town went up 25% on Friday AM & went back down on Tuesday AM...

Purty common situation on price changing...
Local stations with car wash offer discount on gasoline when you buy a wash at the pump. Except: on holiday weekends. The discount disappears a few days before the weekend. Plus the car wash near us is broke down so often, we drive to a different car wash for over a year now.
Similair deal on license plates in South Dakota in the Mount Rushmore area. Locals get free entrance in some of the events like Crazy Horse monument
Filled the truck up at the station near work.... it was at 2.74 a gallon for days.. thursday morning 6am it was 2.64 a gallon. They must have heard Bob talking , I guess?
As I rolled up to the corner, I saw the 2.639 price on the sign. I thought it was wrong. Pulled in, Filled up the truck : 16 gallons
This video is very interesting It really makes you think.
Quote from: "enjenjo"This video is very interesting It really makes you think.
Seems to make sense. Especially with technology moving as fast as it does nowadays the end of internal combustion engines isn't far off.
According to their graphs, the good thing is we should have cheap gas for 10 more years or so. Some of us won't have to think about it much longer than that.
Quote from: "enjenjo"This video is very interesting It really makes you think.
had the time to watch the vid... Interesting thoughts. Out here in Gibert AZ.. there are many Tesla and Leaf cars. Extreme difference in the car costs $ levels.
Couple neighbors have Leaf automobiles. As recall in Arizona the first couple years the Leaf was sold in the southwest there was many complaints on battery life and range in the Leaf. I have not read anything to see if that was resolved or what happened. Seems like the range the owners were getting was near half of what Nissan said the Leaf would provide.
I've had the opinion for several years that now is the time for someone to be developing an electric motor conversion which drops into an SBC compartment and uses existing accessories, mounts, and transmission. Between tossing radiator and gas tank there ought to be room, even if it only makes slouchy power. It's time would come, and tons of R&D plus a slow start would be expected. But imagine what a big favor we would be doing for the youngers... the world is now and will continue to be blessed with plenty of slicked up old car bodies. If a young guy with a good job wants to roll around in a street rod in 2030 and its still legal, there needs to be a viable ( uh-oh, heres that word but imagine how it will be ) kit available to enable that. If not... gents, I'm afraid they'll be paying folks to scrap our junk that we built.
This is just a spin-off tangent piece of pure opinion. But if I had the technology and wanted to set myself up for later, I would not hesitate to place a strong bet on this strategy even though to me, preserving what I call "retro vibe" (does it feel, sound, and smell like "itself", as designed) is the primary need... it won't be for those who come later. I believe expressing one's self through one's mode of personal transportation will prevail but theres a lulu of a giant first step in breaking away from internal combustion.
Just my .02 :)

I believe something like that exists. On an episode of Wheeler Dealers they converted a car to electric and used the stock drivetrain. I can't remember what car it was, but there was a kit for it.
Edit: it was a Maserati Biturbo, here's a link: https://www.motor1.com/news/78474/would-you-want-the-wheeler-dealers-electric-maserati/
Heck yeah, stack two of those and hang SBC trans and crank flanges and a bracket for SBC accessory drive... get a big name to put a sticker on it and just rake in cash! Simple plot, eh? I just haven't searched about electric rodding but yet run my mouth.
The setup in that link could go great in a Factory5 33, sure. Or maybe a real deuce.
As gas prices become less reasonable, electric hardware ought to become more so.
Somewhere in this country is a 50 Mercury custom with a complete model S Tesla drivetrain in it. There are a bunch of electric cars out now, you can find them in the salvage pools There is also a guy with a Model S Tesla that has in in the 9s with a basically stock drivetrain, and still " street legal".

Here in S. Ontario we are..(actually been there for a year or two) at the point of batteries failing after about 10 years. Average replacement of $10,000..for whatever reason..I did a quick bone yard search. ALL KINDS of batteries..couple hundred bucks.
I read about an electric pickup..about $70,000..0-60 in 3 seconds. In production..or not far off.
My missed point was that to my knowledge, theres nothing available that is designed to work in place of an SBC with existing accessories and transmission.
Quote from: "idrivejunk"My missed point was that to my knowledge, theres nothing available that is designed to work in place of an SBC with existing accessories and transmission.
Hmmm, sounds like an opportunity...🤔😃
There is really not much needed. The transmission is no longer necessary, the electric motor makes max torque at stall. So the electric motor occupies the space previously used by the transmission. Now your only problem is find space for 1,000 lbs of batteries, and 200 lbs of controllers, and the cooling system for the batteries. In most cases a custom battery array will be needed to fit the available space, and that will be the most expensive part of the system.

I knew somebody would pick up what I was laying down.
Its like Frank says. OK yep I thought trans might be part of it but I don't know if maybe theres a cheaper way by utilizing one somehow. If someone did science out a well developed package, I just think it could have an impact on what happens to our rides after we go.
Gas was $1.88 today at a C store by the interstate. Carry on.
I did some reading. I had not heard of an Arizona Lemon law buy back on some Nissan Leaf cars in 2012. Nissan claims this was done to keep customers happy, not large scale problem.
A class action lawsuit was filed against Nissan in 2012 in Calliefornia on the problem battery life of the Leaf cars.. I have not read any articles on that yet.
Nissan has increased the battery capacity on the Leaf cars from the early years.
Paid 2.64 a gallon on Phx on monday.. I was surprised it was still the same price. 14 gallons into the truck
Diesel was at 3.06 a gallon
$2.48 at Costco yesterday afternoon. We have dropped from 2.98 in the last 3 weeks.
$1.90 at Costco in toledo today, $1.89 at Kroger in Swanton
Paid $2.01 here in GR today. I am waiting for the jump tomorrow back to $2.*** whatever they think they can get out of us for the holiday travel.
Unleaded 87 is $2.18 in my town. We took my brother out for dinner last night in his town about 35 miles north of us. We passed the gas stations on the way to the restaurant, and their prices were $2.05. Wow! On the way back, the same stations were $1.99. What? In less than an hour.
We left his house and made a quick trip to Menards on the way home, and the prices on I80 were $1.89.
Had to stop in today with the other truck and It $2.14 (https://media.giphy.com/media/HqLMLEbgN4mcg/giphy.gif)
Best I can report is station I use in phx... dropped to 2.62 a gallon on friday morning.
Near my house , gasoline is still at 2.80 a gallon
Just saw $1.80.
Noticed station near my home was at 2.74 this morning....
We had a bite to eat at local Mickey D place next door to the gasoline station Circle K place... My Wife works today. I do not. LOL
Gasoline was 2.58 a gallon in Phoenix this morning. I was surprised at the price drop during the holidaze.
Then my phone rings and I turn around to go back home.
Christmas is pasted so the price here has now dropped to $1.93 per gallon. With my Speedway discount I paid $1.90 per gallon.
Quote from: "416Ford"Christmas is pasted so the price here has now dropped to $1.93 per gallon. With my Speedway discount I paid $1.90 per gallon.
We paid $1.93 on Christmas day at the Speedway in Caledonia near you. It was the only station open in the neighborhood and somebody(?) had an empty tank.

i Just paid $1.88 at the Thornton's on Devon and Prospect in Elk Grove Village, IL. $1.93 pump price, $1.88 with Thornton's reward card.
Saw $1.77 yesterday.
Monday 12-31 , I was over in south phoenix area where Manzanita Speedway was located for a few decades. Gasoline there was 2.50 a gallon.. Broadway road is also know as Junkyard Road.
Today 1-1-2019 : I noticed that locally the gasoline price has dropped to 2.60 a gallon..
On TV new last week , a little blip about Arizona prices are at 40 cents higher than national gasoline average.
Gas was $1.92 at Sams today, of course they were closed. Went to Kroger, it was $1.95
$1.89 in S.E. Michigan today..I'm lovin' this..
Here in Arizona we are still being punished on gasoline prices.
I paid 2.54 a gallon this morning at the usual gasoline station I visit in Phoenix
The new Casey's that opened up in my town the day before T'day has many different grades of fuel. Every pump station has different grades. E85, E88 15%, E87 10%, E91 10% and 91 no ethanol, plus diesel. I am happy to see the 91 no ethanol, so now I don't have to drive 15 miles one way to get gas for the small engines, and the two old cars.
we are at $.97/L today
the station I buy gasoline from in Phx... is down to 2.44 a gallon this monday morning.. Diesel is at 2.80 a gallon
Quote from: "Crosley"the station I buy gasoline from in Phx... is down to 2.44 a gallon this monday morning.. Diesel is at 2.80 a gallon

I paid 1.89 in Wichita today. I've been paying 2.19 where I live.
Gas in Michigan Fri. $1.95 today $2.19...???
I quit reporting the price here... you guys are all way lower.
Uh--gas just dropped to $1.99 ????
I just drove from Nevada to Ohio. Nevada the price was $2.56. In Flagstaff Arizona I paid $2.56,though in Williams they wanted $3.99. Santa Rosa New Mexico was $2.19. Elk City Oklahoma was $1.99. Cuba Missouri was $1.88. Terra Haute Indiana was $2.17 Defiance Ohio was $1.85. Four day trip, colder every day, got home to 7 degrees, and the furnace is out. The technician is on his way. Computer controlled furnace.
Today gas in Swanton was $2.40 a gallon. I went to Costco, and bought gas for $1.84.
I paid 1.99 in my town today.
Ours are going up 8% today..and again in April.
$3.00 today at Chevron in northwest Las Vegas; It was raining too hard to pay attention after that.
Paid 2.27 in Phx last week...
out here by the house: paid 2.38 this morning. 18 gallons in the ol truck.
diesel is 2.48 at the same station
T'was down to $2.96 the other day at the same Chevron station that I used a couple of weeks ago.
$2.29 here today but Michigan might not be a low spot much longer. We currently pay $.61 in combined state, federal, & sales taxes per gallon...5th highest in the nation. Our new governor just proposed a $.45 increase in state gas tax alone. That will put us highest in the US by a long ways.
We're already the highest state in auto insurance. I wonder where all the money goes. Everyone still claims they need more. :(D)
Gasoline going back up here. Up 10 cents in recent week.
Make that a 15 cent hike in prices.. back up to 2.44 to 2.48 a gallon, that I see
I paid $2.09 in Wauseon Oh yesterday.
I was over in Chandler AZ this sunday morning... common prices were in the low and mid 2.50 a gallon for gasoline.
:-}
I guess the trend is here for the summer.
Mid 2.50s around my area now.... in Phx where I often buy gasoline it went up a few more pennies
Gasoline keeps going up... refineries are gearing up for summer blends is the reason put forth. LOL
In Phx , it is low to mid 2.50 a gallon at the stations I visit. Out here near me: I saw 2.61 a gallon
Quote from: "Crosley"Gasoline keeps going up... refineries are gearing up for summer blends is the reason put forth. LOL
In Phx , it is low to mid 2.50 a gallon at the stations I visit. Out here near me: I saw 2.61 a gallon
In Phoenix the price came down a few cents at the stations I visit. Weird . Out here by my house , not so much. Still in the 2.60's a gallon
The Circle K stations in Phx area have no gasoline. No real reason given on the news reports.. Since other stations have gasoline , I suspect some delivery dispute or contract error
Local to me stations: Paid 2.44 a gallon of gasoline friday morning. Saturday morning paid 2.55 .... sunday morning I was seeing 2.64 to 2.68 a gallon on the signs. Seems to be a trend.
We put a couple hundred miles on the Goldwing saturday. Out from home east thru Superior , Claypool , to Globe AZ for breakfast... Back west thru Florence AZ past the prison, etc Gasoline was in the upper 2.40 to mid 2.50s in the small towns
$2.46 here in town. $2.15 in Toledo.
Near my home, it jumped to 2.68 a gallon. A co-worker that lives south of Phx in Maricopa AZ... says gas jumped to 2.79 from 2.50 a gallon in 2 days.
In metro phx, the stations I see on my ride to work have dropped from high 2.60's to low 2.60's this week.
wacky
My town was 2.35 on thursday. I went 50 miles away yesterday and it was 2.45. I was low on fuel and stopped in the small town on the way and paid 2.29. When I got home, most of the stations are at least 2.51.
Locally to me and in Phx where I travel during the week.. there are signs on pumps: No premium or mid grade gasoline At Fry's Food stores and Circle K stores. There is a supposed delivery problems with pipeline.
Yet... the pipeline company says there is plenty of gasoline in the pipeline and no issues with the pipeline.
Paid 2.70 a gallon tonite, local station to me. Signs on the pumps: No mid grade or Premium
Now one cause listed for the fuel shortage is the ethanol additive is not readily available. Storms in the area of the country where ethanol is produced has reduced the available ethanol to add to the gasoline.
Same local station to me as 2 nights ago... paid 2.80 a gallon. The "out of mid and premium " signs are gone.
I figure once the price is north of 3 dollar a gallon, the gas shortage - delivery problems will be gone. #Liars
Keeps gettin crazy on prices where I travel. In Phoenix area, I drive past stations, the price this morning was 2.85 for gasoline. Diesel is 3.30 a gallon
Las week diesel, and unleaded were the same price here in swanton, $2.80. The week diesel is still the same, and unleaded is 10 cents cheaper.
Gasoline prices near me are 2.90 to 2.96 a gallon. Diesel is down to 2.85 a gallon....
In Phx, the stations I drive past on my way to work.. 2.92 & 294 a gallon for gasoline.
Odd: the fuel delivery problem to the stations , is gone around stations near my house. Weird? .
We are back to 129.9/L thanks to a new federal carbon tax . That works out to about 5.89/imp gal . I remember saying i would quit hot rodding if it hit $1/gallon that was quite a while ago . I also remember saying i would quit smoking if it hit $1 a pack . I no longer smoke , it is almost $19 a pack here .

Here in S. Ontario...gas was about 89 LITRE..we were WARNED :!:..coming soon..coming soon..next weekend..etc.,ETC..came down to tomorrow nite  5 cents Litre carbon tax. My better half asked me how much I thought they would ACTUALLY jack it up..AFTER the tax was implemented.. I said probablly 20 cents per litre AFTER everyone and his dog got in on it
It was up 10 cents a litre BEFORE the tax came in  Then the tax of 5 cents a litre..THEN EVERYONE and his dog on the PILE ON
They raised it 30%. Up 30 cents per litre..to about $1.19 (from the 89.9)
I said I would quit eating chocolate bars when they hit $1. They did. I did. They are about $1.80 most places..$stores..about .70
In Michigan it's$2.85 and the new governor wants to raise taxes 45 cents...
I noticed it has gone up around .20 this week. I think there maybe another .20 before the end of the month.
A station Shell brand just around the corner from the local Costco is at 3.06 a gallon. It is a car wash place too. With people that clean the cars and stuff.
High 2.90's for gasoline is common in the valley. Some stations are still with out fuel.
Consumer complaints are mounting , for what ever good that will do. LOL
News reports mention the price has increased over 40 cents in recent months in AZ..
In my travels: 3 dollar gasoline is a commmon sight now. 2.99 to 3.06 a gallon....
Diesel fuel at many stations is listed at same price as gasoline : 3 dollars.
In my area near the house ; it is 3.02 to 3.10 a gallon this morning for regular gasoline. No end in sight , I fear for the price increases
$2.69 yesterday. I should have filled up monday when it was $2.49. :)
Purty common to seee 3.05 a gallon around my area now... in Phx where I drive to get to work : it is 2.97 or so..
A co-worker that lives in Maricopa AZ , south of phx... said a Chevron gas station he drives by was at 3.19 a gallon for regular this morning.
I paid 3.10 a gallon this afternoon. At this rate: I may need a scoot with a smaller engine than the Goldwing has.
Quote from: "Crosley"I paid 3.10 a gallon this afternoon. At this rate: I may need a scoot with a smaller engine than the Goldwing has.
Hah, good thinking. How is it that "back in "the day", we scooted around on 500 or 650 Brits and thought we were hot stuff, and never even considered that we were really underpowered? Then as we got a bit older, we stepped up to 750s, 900s, 72 inch Harleys, 1200 Beemers, and today, the main cruisers and big bikes all have 1500 to 1800 or so? Sure, they are moving a fair amount more weight, what with bigger tanks, fairings, wind deflectors, and sometimes we think the weight makers are almost necessary - but, I guess the point I am trying to make is, how did we get along back then? My Trump, and XLCH didn't have anything but air, and I was sh***ing in tall cotton. Just pondering the obvious.

True words... I have been casually looking at ST1300 Honda bikes. 7 gallon fuel tank on them. Good mileage and power. Saddle bags n other stuff. ABS brakes were offered on them too.
Time will tell. ... I am gettin ready for another "down sizing" .. The Goldwing will remain. More cars are going away. Just need to figure that part out. LOL
Gasoline still running 3.06 a gallon in Phx where I ride... about 3.10 to 3.13 out here near my house.
$2.59 in Wichita on friday.
I paid 3.16 a gallon for regular gasoline this morning over in Chandler AZ near a Whataburger place. Breakfast was very good.
Oddly: there is little problems with fuel availability now that prices are over 3 dollar a gallon
I try to stay out of Chandler for 2 reasons... Radar - photo traffic lights and the Self driving car business Waymo is in that area
Up , over in Mesa AZ near the Harbor Freight store on Gilbert rd... I paid 3.13 for gasoline. The Goldwing was thirsty
I'm about 25 miles west of Chicago, gas was 2.99 for regular yesterday. Just read two bills pending in Illinois legislature to raise gas tax. One is to raise it 19 cents a gallon to a total of 38 cents and one 15 cent as a gallon to a total of 34. Plus we already pay 6.25% sales tax per gallon. The bills also include raising registration fees $50.00 a year. One of the bills will also raise drivers license renewals $30.00. Neither bill is close to passing but we are being bombarded with tv commercials on the life threatening problems with our roads and bridges. Our new governor has even tossed around the idea of a mileage tax. BTW, the gov is under federal investigation already. Continuing the Illinois tradition. Illinois has had 9 Governors in the last 50 years, 4 have gone to prison.
Around the house here this morning... 3.11 to 3.14 a gallon. Diesel fuel is about the same as gasoline today.
$1.29.9/L here today
Had to go out this afternoon... battery in the yard tractor quit.
Gasoline was at 3.16 most places. Diesel is up to 3.19 a gallon.
Rode past the local big car wash today... they are at 3.26 a gallon for regular gasoline  :!:
Friday morning in Phx... paid 3.20 a gallon for gasoline.. There seems to be no end to the price increases
Diesel and regular both the same price, $2.859. According to the news swanton has the highest price in northwest Ohio.
Around the local area here to me... gasoline is 3.12 to 3.18 a gallon this sunday morning.
Diesel is 3.20 a gallon
Rode thru middle Phx to work this morning before the rains hit.....
3.18 to 3.20 a gallon for gasoline. The diesel was the same price.
Paid 3.20 a gallon for gasoline today..
Diesel has dropped to 3.16 a gallon. LOL :!:
2.56 today.
By the homestead here the prices are still in the 3.16 to 3.25 a gallon. Diesel is 2 cents above or below gasoline depending on the station.
Fueled up the Goldwing in Phx this morning. 3.16 to 3.18 were the prices I seen... I paid 3.16 a gallon.
I've not been out and about much of late, but here in "sin city" the pumps are at $3.45 to $3.60 or thereabouts.
I see plenty of 3.16 to 3.18 a gallon for gasoline ... diesel is the same or more.
Those in charge must know what they are doing. I feel like I am getting a deal if I pay 3.16 or less a gallon. LOL
 :!:
Still 2.56 here. Getting close to holiday weekend. That will surely change. :)
Paid 3.20 a gallon here this friday morning
2.69 off I70 at Colby Ks
Seems to have stabilized at 3.15 to 3.18 a gallon on Phoenix on the roads I travel.

Prices i see in Phx are still at 3.08 to 3.10 for gasoline.
Out here near my house: 3.12 to 3.16 for gasoline.
Diesel is all over in price. Less than and higher than gasoline depending on the station.
I just drove through NJ, NY, MA, & VT the past few days.
Prices for regular 87 (10% ethanol) seemed pretty consistent in the $2.83-$2.85 range.
Same gas in southern Quebec province was 1.272$ Canadian per liter = approx. $ 3.65 US per (our) gallon factoring current exchange rate.
Paid 3.14 a gallon tuesday morning near the house.. It is just wacky: Weeks after the price increased north of 3 dollars a gallon, the delivery shortages disappeared.
nothing to see here folks.
It's $2.93 today but our "wonderful" legislators in Illinois passed a bill this week to double the fuel tax from .19 to .38 per gallon. The bill will also allow a one penny increase each year starting in 2021 AND it allows certain counties and municipalities to impose their own fuel tax ranging from 3 to 8 cents a gallon. A driver going 15,000 miles a year would pay about $95.00 a year more. On top of that, starting January 1, 2020 registration fees for license plates increase by $50.00 a year. Electric cars registration goes from $25.00 every two years to $251.00 per year.
Regular gas has dropped 10 cents in my area since last week.
Heard on the radio yesterday that prices will continue to drop thru the summer. ...We'll see.
Paid 3:06 a gallon for gasoline in phx this morning. .... Still 3:12 to 3:18 near my house. Thursday morning , although it is my friday today
Gasoline prices about the same still..
I watched a news blip on local TV.. Tells us about AZ is average of 3.09 a gallon , National Average is about 2.80 a gallon...
Instead of further coverage for Arizona, They move to a piece about the gasoline prices in Calliefornia. I dont really give a rats patootie about anything in Callifornia. I am curious why Arizona is so much higher than other states.
Something must have froze over.

A nifty deal on the gas points. We had a large pruchase to make from Lowes. My wife bought 200 $ on Lowes gift cards at Frys Food... This gave us a 2 for 1 in points. 40 points on gasoline for 200 $ in gift card purchase. win win

I suppose regions and state taxes make a big difference. I just drove from Tennessee to Mississippi last Thursday. Regular was $2.67 near Nashville. It dropped to $2.45 south of there and to $2.05-$2.12 in N Alabama. Here in Central Mississippi it is around $2.15 for regular. I have a family car that requires premium gasoline. Premium is $.60-$.80/gal higher here. I don't get it. Diesel varies a lot from day to day, and can be $.40-$1.00 more than regular.
I was in western Canada last week. We drove about 1500 miles all total. Gas was cheap. .96 Canadian. They are giving it away.
As I recall: Canada sells gasoline ... priced per liter. LOL

Diesel is 2.90 a gallon
Out here by the house: gasoline is at 2.95 to 3.06 a gallon
I filled up with all-gas 91 yesterday for just under $3/ gal. Governor wanted 95 million for roads so signed a law that takes effect today. Adds 3 cents to gas, 6 to diesel, and a $200 fee to register hybrids and electrics. Its the first state fuel tax increase in twenty years. I can get my mind around paying this since I use roads. But this idea of childless single people paying 82% of county tax for schools, I can't understand. Children of illegal residents get free public schooling.

Our new governor here in Mi. ran on the platform "Fix the * roads"; her fix?, Add 45 cents tax on top of what we already pay, along with outrageous fees for registration, that were raised to fix roads years ago. That would make our gas tax $.713 a gallon!!! Along with the highest carinsurance rates in the U.S. makes me wonder how long I can stay here.
thursday: paid 2.98 a gallon for gasoline in Phx. Filled the Goldwing up. about 12 dollars.

There are a few lower priced stations... there is a AM-PM station near by.. If you do Not pay in cash, they charge a "fee" for most plastic cards used. For that reason I have not bought gasoline at a AM-PM station in many years.
I got gas Thursday, the usual all-gas 91 for the GTP. Been just under $3 for a month or so but dropped a dime this time. Got convenience store eth 91 for the Model J yesterday and it was $2.66.9. On an interstate exit and on craft fair weekend :?

I pass one BP station at $3.49 for regular. ...Always $1.00 more than going rate. ....This is not a repair shop, it is a convenience store on a major highway. ....Customers not usually seen there.
It makes one wonder if it is set up as a loss for tax purposes, or a front for something else.

We have a similar store here near the airport. They depend on rental car returns for customers for fuel sales. At a dollar per gallon proffit you don't have to sell a ton of fuel to stay in business.

GM is also coming up with a retrofit electric conversion. Not much info on it yet, but it's a pretty basic package that takes some brains to install. It amounts to a pair of Volt motors in a package, and an adapter to fit it to your GM transmission. It also uses two Volt battery packs.
I see many 3 dollar a gallon stations near our house.. couple are at 3.05 or 310 for the car wash near the house.

When I am working/painting in my basement I usually have a radio on. The station that comes in best down there is the Canadian station from across the river/border in Sarnia Ontario. This morning the DJ was talking about their gas prices, .84 per liter, Canadian. I didn't do the math to convert liters to gallons or Canadian dollars to American, but apparently that price is very low, the DJ was quite excited about it! 😄

That's pretty good for them, but our stations on this side are still seeing a lot of our Canadian friends over here buying gas for $1.88 U.S. even though their dollar is discounted about 30% here and Bridge toll, to cross the border is, I think, $4.00 Canadian each way.
Gasoline station Circle K in Phoenix was at 2.84 a gallon friday morning.. that would be 2.78 a gallon if you have the "Easy Pay" card that functions on Circle K pumps. I have not looked into that card program.. I tend to stay away from "special systems" for payments.
Gas prices are dropping here 10-15 cents per gallon.
Less people driving to work, activities, sports, schools, etc.
I guess they need to move product.
The cafe's in my town are locked up due to the water main breaking last thursday. The state won't let them open up until the water test results come back clean. Wife got in her 2016 Subaru Forester to go uptown, and it wouldn't start. Second time this battery has petered out, and it's only 4 years old. I've been changing batteries at around 5 years. We went to Costco and got a new one for $78 + tax for a total of $84.
Also got gas in the truck for $1.69.9 while there. Cheapest in the area that I've seen.

94.9 at the Casey's store on the Boulevard just 2 miles from my house. Some of the other stations are just a few cents more. Cheap gas and no place to go. I filled my Suburban 5 weeks ago and it is still full. I think I drove it 10 miles since then.
I'm gonna go out Tuesday morning early for geezers groceries. I might be able to squeeze 4 or 5 gallons into the Grand Cherokee. Might get the convertible out and top it off. Have no idea how much is in it. Haven't fired it in 4 or 5 weeks.
Price seems to be holding around $0.96/9 out in the eastern suburbs. $0.25 to .30 in town. The only reason why I'd guess is because they can get away with it.
Seen 2.29 a gallon for regular gasoline.. I have not checked Costco this week yet.
Diesel is at 2.63 a gallon.
Still holding at about $1.20 gal here. I went to the county landfill yesterday and saw a couple stations at $1.39, I thought the party was over, or at least ending, then remembered I was on the west side of town where two expressways dump into the city, that's the price for the convenience of not have to go another mile to save 20 cents a gallon! 😄
This saturday morning: stations I pass near the house were 2.26 a gallon. The always higher priced car wash was at 2.37 this morning.
Diesel still in the mid 2.60's
Not seen much change in gasoline prices around here this week.
It went up here and today I saw 1.25 to 1.45 within 3 miles of each other. Tankers are piling upoff our coasts. Supposedly 60% of the worlds storage is full.
I would guess that the oil business is in free-fall or close.

Last week one day the price of crude was minus $34.50 a barrel. It was not selling at that price because of a shortage of storage.

Few days ago while I was at a gas station: I had a fellow walk up to me and ask if I could give him money to buy gasoline. I told him I had been unemployed since March. He walked away. He was going pump to pump to pump asking people. I do not hand cash to people, especially family members

Paid 1.79-9 for gasoline this morning. 30 cents off the 2.09 price at the Food store pumps.
We jumped a dime here yesterday, not sure if it's because of the holiday weekend or that our generous governor let the U.P. and the northern third of the L.P. resume somewhat normalization. Probably both...😃 I noticed last weekend which was a Canadian holiday our gas prices did not rise, which they usually do for a Canadian holiday due to all our Canadian friends crossing the border for relatively cheap gas. The border is closed to all non essential travel till at least June 21.
Prices in my area have increased... about 6 cents. Holiday weekend?

Gasoline prices are very different station to station near the house.. 3.10 a gallon is the most common. Then 3.14 to 3.28 a gallon. To be fair: the 3.28 a gallon gasoline is a full service car wash. They are always higher for gasoline.
Diesel is 3 dollars to 3.20 a gallon.
I been paying $3.20 last three weeks (all gas, premium because huffer) but also during that time, gas has been in short supply with some stations completely out, some with bags over half the pump nozzles. Normally thats news but haven't seen anything about it until today. No explanation offered, everyone is guessing. Dad says it was the ship that got crossways in the canal. News says maybe the switch from winter to summer gas, maybe winter storm. I think its fairly comical how the race, gender, age, and drama biased local media can't get an answer. Too many vendors are affected for us dumb as a stump public not to notice. I noticed a month ago.
Someone seems to be hiding something. :? Anyone else seeing a shortage? :?:
I didn't halt you guys' gas thread with just that, did I? :?
The usual place was upgrading pumps today and I was on fumes so went to a Kum n Go and to my suprise :-o 93 octane "premium plus" was available. For $3.46.
