A real gentleman whenever I met him.
I heard earlier today. Most everyone I know has good things to say about him. That says it all.
When I watched the tv show The California kid , I was hooked on cars , and specifically hot rods , forever . Thank you Mr. Chapouris for instilling a dream in a little kid that has lasted a lifetime . May you rest in peace .
I was shocked when I read it yesterday. Never met the man but always admired what he did. I can see the iconic cover of Rod & Custom with both Pete & Jake's coupes. Rest in Peace Pete.
I first met Pete in the late 70's thru my son when he lived in Calif. Last spoke to him 2 yrs ago in his office at shop. RIP
Pete contributed a great deal to the hotrod hobby
