What's the story with the paddle shifters?
Hi the paddles control the auto gearbox it has been manualised and doesn't shift on it's own
The stick is just for PRND
If you select 1st gear it will stay in first till you shift to 2nd or the motor blows
4 speed lexus box
We need more details. :D
I have loaded every detail over the years right here Smile unfortunately it has taken a loooong time
The engine and gearbox are Lexus to skirt the computers I manualised the gearbox with a computer made by a genius in Oz and replaced the engine computer with a NZ made Link computer. The flappy paddles are from Shrifter I had to make their computer talk to the gearbox computer one paddle is up and the other is down
I'm sorry. My memory isn't good enough to remember stuff from 2008. :D
Me neither so much so I forget how some of it goes back together LOL
Simon, it seems to me that you have been building that car for as long as I have known you.
You are right! I started on my 40th birthday carried on through a marriage breakup and a global recession and of course the times where I simply didn't know what to do next, but the plan is to have it on the road all legal for this birthday ( next month) Having a supportive GF has helped a lot
I like that unique interior design! Looks comfy.

I hope your not going to celebrate your 70th birthday!
Fantastic car, Simon...I've really enjoyed watching this over the years.
