gents,
I was gone... but now I'm back and needing your expertise. I'm at a point where I need to set the radiator on my '53 F-100.
Engine is a 460 mildly built. with A/C. and will be using electric fans
Front end is a tilt unit so I want the radiator pretty... i.e. aluminum..
Any suggestions ?? Please don't say Griffin... I just priced theirs at just under $1000 for rad with condenser and shipping.... this message is the beginning of plan 'b'.
any experience is PRC ... or others... right now I'm wide open as a yard gate...
thanks
John
I have used BeCool in the past, worked good. If you can find one that fits your needs, Afco makes some nice inexpensive aluminum radiators. They are not easily repaired, but at the price, can be replaced. No experience with PRC
I recently had an aluminum rad built for a 429 Ford at a semi-local shop for $470, garuarteed to cool up to 700 h.p. I don't know where you are at, but maybe try a local place.
I think mine is an AFCO in my 49. Have you updated your home page lately?
