I need a dual point, or other perfomance distributor for my 302 GMC 6 project. Any pre 62 Chevy or GMC should work. Dig deep an see watcha got . :b-d: thanks Jay
I can't help you directly, but I saw a distributor that might be of interest. I saw an old Ford pickup in Okla City several years ago that was running a Saturn engine. The guy had removed the electronics (computer, injectors, crank sensors, etc) and put older mechanical stuff on it (side draft carb). For ignition, he had modified an altermator bracket and used it to mount some kind of distributor. It was driven by a toothed belt (like a blower belt only narrow) to keep it in time. Seems like it even had a vacuum advance. I'd think this kind of setup could be adapted to any engine.
It would take a lot of engineering and fabricating, but would sure look trick!
